  • Hi Bubbe! I love your vidoes!

My late mother used to make this dish but we called it "Floymen Chimmis" . She made it in the oven, and used "Flanken" for the meat part, and used dark karo syup or honey for sweetening. She also put in prunes, hense the name "floymen". We ate it as a side dish with chicken or turkey for Rosh Hashanah.

Your vidoes bring back alot of good memories.

Thanks so much Bubbe. Be well and long life!

  • Hi bubbe...thank you for sharing your recipes! I made the Tzimis for dinner tonight after I watched the video. It is wonderful.

(I always was reading in stories by Isaac Beshevis Singer about families eating tzimis and now I know what it is :))

  • Enjoyed reading your message. Have you check out our other videos on our personal website. We have episodes up to #27 on it. Just search feed me bubbe on google and you will find all of the episodes. Good luck!

  • Hello, I am happy to report that from now on Tzimis will be one of the regular dishes of my family. We absolutely enjoyed it, even though I forgot to add honey and starch at the end. We had it with the buckweet and it was just awesome!! Thanks a lot for sharing with us your family recipes, you bring back what is almost lost and forgotten.

  • Happy to hear that your tzimis turned out well. Hearing your success will encourage others to attempt to cook from scratch instead of buying frozen prepared which is not always the tastiest. Just trying will make it easier every time. - Bubbe

  • Very happy to hear that you are making your own instead of buying frozen. Much better flavor and taste.

  • R u kidding..that's awesome!! Hey food is food so r good people like Bubbe

  • You must know just how I'm thinking. Thanks, Bubbe

  • Absolutely 100% not! Even though some of the food is traditional and uses kosher ingredients and procedures, most of the videos are also of the family favorites. Food is a universal language understood by all for example, watch episode #5 where I make a hamburger for a picnic and episode #17 where I make a fresh fruit salad. As you can see anyone can enjoy my cooking. -Bubbe
