I think choosing the £44.05 contract with the iphone costing £175.19 is a good idea, Contract works out at £30.83 a month and you get 1200 mins and 500 txts. total for 18 months including phone is £730.13

There are about a 150 companies in the scheme, it's called o2 open and McDonalds, Waitrose, BBC, The AA and network rail are just a few!!!

So if you know anyone who works for these companies, ask them, chance are they don't even know about it, for some reason most employees don't even get told about it!!

You need your friends payslip and open code take it to your local o2 store.

Bear in mind the discount has been surpressed on iPhone 3Gs untill further notice!!

Only works in o2 stores as far as I am aware. You've got to take the wage slip of your mate who works at McDonalds and then tell them you want the 'family and friend' discount. They'll probably know what you mean once you show them the wage slip lol

If its just a 'standard' 02 monthly sim then it will work but you'll get raped with the 3G charges. if you use a iphone contract sim, you can use it any iphone and it will work just fine. Hope that helps bud.

Doesn't work on Pay As You Go unfortunately and the 30% doesn't get taken off on the handset - only the monthly bill. Quite a good bargain if your looking for a contract. No point in getting the pay as you go version of this particular phone, its going to be a hell lot expensive.

It maybe expensive at first but if you think about it, it's only £265 more to get the 32GB on PAYG. That money would easily be spent on the £35 a month for 18 months.

I never use up my minutes or texts so i;d be saving every month aswell.

Another advantage is that if in a years time another iPhone is released, it will be much easier for me to get it as I won't have to buy out my existing contract.

I hope I made sense, it's the best option for me but obviously not everyone is the same.
