on the website they said it will load up in 15 seconds but it actually boots up in 23 secounds but still very impressive it takes about 5 minutes for my vista to load up even thought it has 4gb ram and i havent used much space on the laptops hard drive!
When i went to create a USB Recovery disk it erased the data on my secondary IDE hard drive on my main PC instead of the plugged-in USB Flash DRive that it said it was picking to do the disk creation on.
I have now lost all my 60GB of data that IDE drive. I also tried to it a second time once i had re-initialised the drive and it re-formatted it again eventhough it specifically says that it is picking the USB Flash DRive.
If your looking for a lighweight portable Internet machine, for surfing the web, doing email and using chat programs then this is a great bit of kit. I cant comment on the XP version as its not available yet.
Personally its not a full Laptop / Workstation replacement, but then it was never designed to be.
I got mine from PC World on release, but they are totally out of stock at the moment as far as I can see.
so it went from 0:06 when you turned it on to 0:2 when the menu creen came up. Getin one at the weekend.

My Acer Aspire One is the 8GB SSD version. I have put Window XP on it, so I could produce a video and see how well it performed.
