Give this man big props. He was not like anyone else in the 80's. He was not part of the British Invasion like Duran Duran. He was not pop like Madonna or Micheal Jackson. He was not "Hair Metal". He was like no one else and he managed to put his own stamp on the 80's. He was unique and legendary. He did not do so well after the 80's, but who cares? His music will live on forever.

Billy Idol stayed true to himself, and just happened to crossover into the pop charts, but never really changed his sound or image - it was always rock with punk trappings....post apocalyptic imagery...White Wedding with the thorn encrusting wedding band that drew blood...very stark

The hit music is the worst of todays crap.. Gaga & Beiber define todays industry.. None of those bands you mentioned justify the 00s decade as creative.. Just boring.. Even the underground music today where I found only a few decent songs don't even compare to 20th century talent.. Nowadays music only sounds good if it sounds old, like Adele & Amy Winehouse were "60s throwbacks" 2000s is all "knock off talent" not raw talent. I can't even tell artists apart anymore

@cpo2u It's actually a hexagon of fire and it symbolizes the demon of hell(Body Snatcher) so there isn't any need for some CGI demonic vision being added into the mix.
The beauty of Billy's art is his subtle obviousness, there is no need to get too tacky by going over-the-top too much.
This song and many other of Billy's masterpieces are already all kinds of win in my opinion. :)

@cpo2u Lol, fair enough. Personally I can't see anything being more 'visually exciting' than the reality behind the flaming hexagon and how it became associated with the Devil, so I don't care to see CGI or real robed demons as I can just picture the real thing in my mind's Eye.
What Billy has provided is just enough for me to do that, anything more may cloud and confuse the real picture. :)
