Um, yea, you can get beta 5 for free, I did, but you have to be a developer or beta tester in order to get it to work.

actually, you can either 1. sync offline, or 2. Use quickpwn to activate the developers account

I have iPhone 3.0 beta 5, iTunes 8.2 and quickpwn 3 beta 4. Still I can not activate my account without being a developer or beta tester. I paid money like this video said about last friday through paypal and still have not received any e-mail asking for my UDID. I think it's a scam.

I have ipod 1st gen and im rubbing beta 5 now. you're stuck on the purple screen with the usb and itunes right? get the new quickpwn, jailbreak according to Dinozambas's vid (to activate the account) and then remove this vid...How much did you pay? you for sure got scammed :( (or at least you payed for something free)

Well, I can always get my money back. If this guy is not going to do anything by wednesday. I'll just open item not received dispute with PayPal. But I'll go and find that user and see what he is talking about. I think reason yours works is because you have iPod 1st Gen. and I have iPhone 3g.

I just seen his video. He has a developer account, therefore he has his iPhone activated. That video does not show how to activate, it only shows how to jailbreak it.

uh...watch it all the way through...the jailbreak does activate it. at the end (where you click install cydia and installer and change bootlogo), when you click one of the options (it replaces installer) it unlocks it xD im not kidding, i dont have any developer account and im o it right now! just follow his steps :)

I did that before, this is my second time I upgraded to 3.0. First time was not success, so I was able to downgrade it. This time I upgraded it to beta 5 and when I downgrade it to 2.2.1 it kept giving me error 1604, wich means to try again till I will get error like 1105, that would mean software was uploaded. But this time I tried constantly for 2 days to jailbreak it, downgrade it. Nothing worked. This guy in the video is a total scam. Tried to contact him about my activation, doesn't reply.
