Well put Dr Steve. At least it gets people discussing this issue that really should be a non issue if not for the church. The lies of religion have always been for political gain. Jesus was a creation of Rome under Emperor Constantine by the Nicean Council in 365AD - he didn't even exist but popes, bishops, priests have perpetuated the lie and extorted money, created division, murdered and raped and defiled minors. Religion is evil and no friend of humanity. Scientific method is the way on.

Without science, you make human beings lives a lot harder without technology. Both can be compatible with each other, yet both sides have no solid proof on their subjects. @StickEntertainment Although I agree with the spirit of your comment, that both religious and non-religious people can coexist peacefully, it's simply wrong to play the relativism card and suggest that neither of them have "solid proof on their subjects," when the fact is scientists go to great lengths to provide an abundance of testable evidence for their claims. If you want to be religious that's fine, but if you want to talk proof, then religion will lose against science every single time.

@ancalites I'm a Christian (though not a biblical literalist), and I agree with you. I'd only suggest that faith and science are very different. Each has its own parameters. Science, for example, assumes that natural law is absolute. A believing theist, on the other hand, might argue -- as Bryan/Brady does in this film -- that God can do what He wants with natural law, because He created it. Please get your facts right before you start spewing them. The Psalms are a collection of poetry written over four hundred years and compiled in the 3rd Century BCE. About 330 years before Christ was crucified.

The Psalms are a part of the Hebrew Bible or what is referred to as The Old Testament in Christianity (including Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant). The Hebrew Bible is split up into three parts: the Torah, the Nevi'im, and the Ketuvim. The Psalms fit into the Ketuvim which in English means Writings and includes the poetic books and wisdom writing. Furthermore, Judaism includes the Psalms in their Hebrew Bible (no NT).

Then there are others, such as yourself, that keep an open mind, look at both sides, then decide what makes more sense. This book was more focused on the fundamental right to think for oneself, using this issue as an example.

Creationism would have trouble meeting its burden of proof because most things touted as "proof" of Creationism are just strawmen of Evolution or ignorant viewpoints of geology, fossils, etc. Plus the fact that Creationists must, at some point, invoke a supernatural explanation would leave them essentially dead in the water from a scientific stand point.

I've actually spent the past two years with a youth group that does mission work and stuff, and on the mission trips they say the stories in the Bible (like Genesis) are truth. I don't myself agree with that, but I do respect their right to believe what they want, which again is what this book focused on. Definitely though, if one is going to speak out against Evolution in favor of "Intelligent Design", they should come prepared to prove it.
