Wow. Just awesome place to stop dubbing Pioneer Entertainment. Kimba ends up in a huge brawl, all his friends start to lose trust in him, his girlfriend dumps him, and he is caught in a desperate internal struggle with himself over how he can resolve his jungle's problems without completely losing himself. Seriously COULD YOU PICK A WORST TIME TO END A SERIES?? (I mean, Inuyashas ending sucked too, but hey, at least they ATTEMPTED a proper ending!!!)

Weirdly that's how. I mean really! if they were going to stop the series, why not do it on ep 15? at least there it wasn't a clliff hanger.

If you want to see eps up to 38, type in Jungle Emperor 1989 episode 17 part 1. She hasn't posted the rest or even been online in two months. And they are all in Jap diolog. but you can still see them. I recomend that you watch ep 1. - 38. They cut SO MUCH out of this series. you will be amazed. after you watch them. tell me wjat you think.

this ending pisses me off. if it had more episodes in dubs, or even with subs then it would be ok, but this is like... dangling a piece of meat in front of a starving dog and only giving him a taste of it. they need to buckle down and finnish what they started.

As vastly different from the original series as this may be, and despite some of the major annoyances and I guess, "flaws" in it, I loved the idea of having Kimba go basically insane. It shows more depth in his character, and how his position as ruler of a whole forest could add major stress to him. Sure we know he had a prophecy told to him, but no one else does which adds on even more stress. I feel it was a good call to do this.

How many times are changing the names in Kimba? Panja to Ceasar, Kimba to Leo, Kitty to Rya to Lea to Lyra, Rune to Lune, and Ruke to Lukio? I love Kimba and all but the name changing is just nuts!

Yeah I know in the Leo the Lion series their names are Rune and Ruke and in the Jungle Emperor Leo movie their names are Lunay and Lukyo(I am not sure if that is the right way to spell them).

The original names are Panja, Leo, Raiya, Lune, and Lukio. It's the dubs that keep changing the names. "Rune" and "Rukio" can be attributed to the fact that there are no "L"s in the Japanese language. So they get replaced with "R"s.

Leo (Kimba) develops a lot of anger issues, starting after Malody chastises him. After this impalla is killed, he tear up the log it was crushed under, before going and taking the rest of his anger out on the Hyenas and African Wild Dogs. This anger/hateful faze lasts for quite a while in the original series.

mamasayuri17 has all the Japanese episodes uploaded now. =) I recommend watching the series in it's original form.

i want to but i tryed that with the angel episode of the japanese lilo and stitch and it was to hard to under stnd anything in japanese do u no were ta find it subbed or dubbed? btw thanks for the explanation :)

There is no sub or further dub, unfortunately. But even if you don't speak Japanese, a lot of it's pretty straightforward. Imagery is usually enough to get the basic idea, though I suppose I'm lucky I speak enough Japanese to get through it.

But when I get the DVD rips of Jungle Emperor, I could definately see if there is a willing team. I would also love to see them get subbed.

wow..they did some heavy editing on the fight. They even took out the part with all the corpses on the ground. They made it seem like Kimba was trying to protect them from fighting. In the japanese version, didn't he instigate the fight by fighting back even harder?

Hmm, not a bad series. I'm just surprised to see that they chose to end it on such a sour note with everyone becoming afraid of Kimba as he progresses into an angry, angst-ridden teenager, but I guess when you have a series that just gets darker after this, no amount of sugar-coating would work for the kiddies. I wouldn't mind watching the whole series uncut and in English, though.

the whole series is very dark, Pioneer tried to edit all of that out with these episodes, i wish instead of trying to censor it they should translated it exactly the way it is and put an age rating on it
