  • beatles are so overrated.

  • save the piggies and vote for vegetarian

  • This song still rings so true these days, if not more so than when it was written and recorded. For those who can't decipher the meaning.. it's about greed and the the gap between classes. The "bigger piggies" who "eat their bacon" means they consume the everyday people with their greed. This needs to be the OWS theme song.

  • This song is about antique unionism

  • The song is about the increased tension between police and rioters

  • "Eat their bacon..." is metaphor for the cutthroat world of politics

  • @bones020694 no it's about cannibalism. Pigs eating bacon=Humans eating humans

  • @bones020694 it's a metaphor for people using/taking advantage of each other when we should be working together instead

  • i think this song is about animal farm by george orwell.

  • This was one of my favorite songs from my childhood. I absolutely loved it, and would beg my mother to play it.

  • This song is great to listen to when playing Angry Birds

  • I love 0:56

  • 目立ってないけど、後期ジョージの名曲だと僕は思います。好きです! 中2 ケラ

  • Two piggies must have recieved a damn good whacking....I would dislike this song if I were them too.

  • "In their eyes-there's something lacking what they need's a damn good wacking!"

    my favorite

  • What's the deal with the White Album?! Why is it so goddamn great? Even these simple little ditties are amazing. What the fuck is the deal?

  • What they need's a damn good whacking!

  • I love all the tracks on the White Album, even Revolution 9!

  • I dedicate this song to Sir Fred Goodwin and all those other bank working cunts happy to roll around in their money while everyone else is having to take punishment for their sins.

  • :D

  • PIGGIES EAT BACON?????

  • @HighlyIllogical77 Maybe George wanted to use the figure of cannibalism as to say that they (the piggies) attempted against theirselves. That line was suggested to George by John.

  • Am I the only one who finds this song great and who think it is highly underrated?

  • @Helmut83 Along with a majority of the white album

  • 2 people have the swine floo

  • Is it about the Police or Journalists or something?

  • George Harrison rules!

  • Why do people try to compare this to life?

Why can't it just be about piggies?

  • @LPGhatguy Well, the song is an allusion to real life. But I get what you saying.

Personally, the line "clutching forks and knives to eat their bacon" says it all. I chuckled when I heard it for the first time. But how true it is

  • @LPGhatguy 'cause it's not

  • @LPGhatguy ... you're not serious are you? Lol, please tell me that you know what the song is about? Equating people to pigs, well, at least some people!

  • @Samantha30090 Of course I'm not serious, silly figment of my imagination, you.

  • happy birthday george harrison we missand love you

  • This song is so appropriate in today's world. The rich run the world and the politicians dance to what ever tune the wealthy play. Here in Canada especially, we have a government that is going to give a new tax break to the wealthy and guess who gets to make that up. It's like Carlin said "you have owners, they own you". Nothing is going to get better because the politicians are so crooked.

  • Did The Beatles write a song about a Horse ?

  • @spazzcat03 Yes! Henry the horse.

  • Who gave that piggie a starched white shirt?

  • I always always alwaaaays think of the book "animal Farm" when i hear this! haha love it, great job harrison!

  • I was under the impression at least that this song was around police officers of the time, due to how easily they became corrupted.

  • When you hear the song, its best not to look at it in black and white. it can be about rich people, yes, but why cant it be about your own personal life? the people in it that annoy you to death(hence the damn good whacking part). we all tend to hear songs for what the musicians were thinking, but to me the song is so deep on so many levels, it can be about anything and everything. every subject that annoys you, angers you, makes you mad about the world around you. Enjoy

  • piggies eating bacon? o.o

  • IM NEVER EATING BACON AGAIN!!!!!! :'(

  • This song is so vastly underrated and one of my favorites of The Beatles.

  • This song is, if anything, more relevant in today's world than it was 40+ years ago.

The wealthiest 1% of America own 34% of the nation's wealth; in 1968, when this song was written, he wealthiest 1% owned around 9%.

Why are most of us struggling economically? Ask those "Piggies" who have stolen almost everything we've been producing for the past three decades.

  • This is one of the best Beatles song, why? you didn't got it? It was written by George Harrison as social commentary on class and corporate greed.

  • this song is so cute!

  • The end is SO monty python ... this song is priceless...

  • Two people are piggies.

  • @Qwerty102964 They gonna get a damn good whacking

  • impetus for the manson / sharon tate murders. pig was written in her blood on the front door. piggies represented the establishment

  • Well somebody seemed to have a muscle spasm and clicked the dislike button

  • wow, what a kick-ass..err..harpsichord solo!!

  • some of you seem to be implying that you have to be on drugs to make fun of this insane dumb world we live in. sorry, but all you have to be is smart to see how messed up things are out there.

  • @jen2174 psychedelics couldn't hurt though

  • you know who actually sucks Lyndee313. prblys some whore

  • @Lyndee313 die in hell

  • I love how this song sounds so cutsie and sweet, even though it's not about anything close to cute little piggies. haha.

It's actually about corporate greed. =/

Oh well, it still makes for an awesome song!

Thank you for that George. <3

And I think the one person who disliked this deserves 'a damn good whacking'!

(What?! A curse word in a Beatles song?! *gasp*)

  • a cute song, except for the bacon part :S

  • Cops that commit police brutality should have to be in a cell of dirt with this song playing 24/7 eating only ham.

  • @jacethegreat What a marvellous thought. LOL

  • I can stare at the White Album cover for hours.

  • You are argueing about piggies. You realize this right?

  • Whoever is that one person who disliked this, you have NO TASTE IN MUSIC WHATSOEVER!!!

  • @STARMANMOD The Beatles often took drugs before concerts to keep themselves awake. Paul would usually take one, but John would take five or six.

  • Their names shall live forever! It's not even up for debate. They are the magic that has been driving music for the last 40 years. Their influence has touched every musician on this planet.

  • SCREW U ALL WHO HATE THE BEATLES, IM TALKIN TO, starmanmod and selectgege EVERYONE ELSE ROCK AND AND ENJOY UR LIFE!!!!!

  • @LimeLemon333

you didn't understand anything at all (probably because the drugs)

you are the ones who hate the beatles

stop insulting them and their talent saying all that bullshits about drugs

show a little respect to the best music band ever

the only ones who compose songs under influence of drugs are the hiphop singers out there and it clearly shows that they only get shit

  • @STARMANMOD The Beatles did lots of drugs and the've been known to have written songs under the influence of cannabis and LSD. Just saying.....

  • @LightzenoLZ

you need to read what they really said, the beatles said several times: "No, it just a rumour, its true that a few times we tried to write a song using drugs as inspiration but we got nothing but shit"

That means that though they might talk about drugs in some of their songs, they didn't use drugs when writing them. off course people likes to lie to themselves but that doesn't make it true

  • @STARMANMOD Lots and lots of their songs were inspired through acid and weed, She said she said was one of them. Of course they would say its a rumor, who would come out and say I do illegal drugs.... There's one interview where Paul said he was high and got an idea for a song and wrote it down, I don't remember what song though. The beatles didn't do drugs at first but only a fool would deny the fact they abused drugs in the later years.

  • @STARMANMOD I think they were talking about recording while high not writing. For instance the first two lines of I Am The Walrus were thought up on acid. Many lyrics, ideas and music would have been dreamed up on weed and acid but they never recorded high as it would have been crap.

  • This song seriously reminds me of either the books "Animal Farm" or "Lord of the Flies." Mostly because the meaning of the song is almost the same as the books. And partly because there's pigs in them. :D

  • this whole album was wrote under the influence of drugs...it shows

  • @selectgege

you are the only one under influence of drugs, and it shows in everything you say

  • @STARMANMOD you accused someone of being under the influence of drugs like it's a negative thing. And music like this (and most of the good music of the 1960's/70's) should let us know that drugs can sometimes lead to awesomeness - like a rock star suddenly taking an interest in Baroque music, for example.

And yes, I'm under the influence of a drug right now (wine).

  • @zerothought

stop the bullshit, the beatles never composed anything under influence of drugs, this is false stories that drugdealers wanted to make people believe, the reality is that the beatles said many times that they couldn't get anything else than shit the few times they tried to compose under influence of drugs and this is the only truth because the drugs only has destructive effects in the brain, no matter what you would like to believe

  • @STARMANMOD .... you're being sarcastic, right? The beatles were high a great deal of the time, throughout most of the late 1960's. Read their anthology (history of the beatles in their own words) for details. Also, see: Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, etc.

If they didn't make music under the influence of drugs, why did these bands write so many songs ABOUT drugs?

  • @STARMANMOD Explain Love Me Do, Hey Jude, Lady Madonna, Please Please Me, and many more then.

  • @STARMANMOD The Beatles "Let's have a laught" = Lets go smoke pot

  • @zerothought

    this is bullshit

drugs never had a positive effect in brain and creativity, specially in composing music, as the beatles said many times, thet sais that everytime they tried to compose under influence of drugs they ALWAYS got nothing but shit

this is just a story that drug sellers wanted to build to increase sells but its just a lie, drugs eats your brain slowly as anyone that knows you can realise as time passes

  • @STARMANMOD yea its a big conspiracy, the drug pushers are selling to your kids!! Where is Nancy Reagan when you need her!!!!

  • who do you think George really calls "piggies" the pigs or the people

  • Goodness, I love George's voice.

  • Save the piggies!!!! put down the fork america jesus christ

  • I'm a little piggy, and my mommy always makes sure that I have clean shirts to play around in. I don't see how there could be any objections to this situation.

  • we're all piggies...

  • LOL the pigs are eating bacon! :D

  • DEATH TO PIGS!

  • I just appreciate the baroque style of the song. I enjoy its levity, and the harpischord solo at 1:07 is particularly awesome.

  • Sounds like a theme song for some kids show about pigs, haha

  • yea a song about how bad a pigs life is and a song about them getting beat

  • tee hee piggy ^-^

  • Are you the guy from the ync web site

  • i love that word piggy

  • hasn't anyone read the book "Animal Farm"?? Isn't this what this song is based on?

  • no. its based on the world bank, the iluminati and YOUR rich white ass

  • Try picking up a book dumbass. Read Animal Farm. They got the idea of Pigs from that story. I know that it is about the Rich in thier time, but they probably got the idea from that short story. And how do you know I am rich? Because I read? I actually am quite in debt and going back to school.

  • y'all need to chill...the song is about politicians !

have you seent the bigot piggies, in their starched white shirts?

they dont care what goes on around, in their eyes there's something lacking, what they needs a damn good whacking.

  • @adogcalledjonnyblaze no its about arrogant rich people who get family money for doing nothing. George found them understandably annoying :)

  • @adogcalledjonnyblaze, and @HooslnDaHouse...... George's words are as follows: "Piggies is just a social comment. It has nothing to do with American or British Policemen." It was Georges' mother who wrote the line, "What they need's a damn good wacking."

  • This is kinda oddly cute... Even though its about rich people...

  • what u mean even tho...? DIE PIG

  • Reminds me of my ex roomates! Always having dirt to play around in! Goodbye and good riddance!

  • I always found the lyrics to this song somehow distressing, but nontheless I like it alot.

  • only distressing if your leeching off the common folk

  • Yeah, I suppose so. I know the song is aimed mostly at the upper classmen and stuff, but I always thought it was also somewhat aimed at the ignorant masses as well... maybe that's just me though.

  • This is a great song :)

  • haha awesome song :P

  • Hahaha :D

  • 'always having dirt, to play around in'.. and they still stir up the dirt... 'what they need's a damn good whacking'... timeless!!
