Amen to that! Meike & Menno are very tall, probably 16.3 and 17.2, but also very THICK!!! ;-) Saphire is a bit smaller but xlarge in attitude. I believe in allowing them to have a natural weight... they are out 24/7, are always foraging and have a very diverse diet. We get very wet, cold weather with high winds at times. That thickness is protection for them. They never get sick and have never seen a vet, thank GOD!!! I love them just the way they are, dirt and all. They truly are a gift.

I love the conformation of your friesians! I hate the tendancy to breed for tall slender friesians. I love the barock type friesian instead especially with the long thick mane! They are the best friesians out there!
