  • thanks alot! it's actually drop d tuning. DADGBE, in other words, just turn your low E to a D. i tried to cover the bonnie raitte version.

  • very tastefully done. One of my favorite John Prine songs. Like your tuning. Your playing in E, is that rihgt? sounds like the Bonnie Riatt version. I play it in G, but I am inspired to go your way! Now if I could just sing in key................

  • Great job! One of my favorite Prine songs.

  • Thanks very much. I like your Blue Chalk too. John

  • Thanks! I look forward to more of your videos. Cheers, Todd

  • excellent

  • Thank you

  • Thanks very much Judo. The meat of this piece is very easy to play. It's in drop D tuning which means you tune the low E string down to a D. play a D chord hitting all 6 strings and you will hear whether you've got it right. after that, it's D and then G with both 1st and 2nd strings fretted at the third fret. play the D followed by this G and it will sound just like it does on the vid. again, thanks for listening and good luck on your music. john

  • this is really good, i just looked up guitar and vocals on search, found trhis and i was not dissapointed, this is the definition of acoustic and vocals, it is simply amazing

  • No promblem at all=) have you uploaded a video when you two sing it?

  • an awesome female vocalist does this song with me now and it's much better, but thank you. this john prine song is atypical but evocative. pablo668 is an informal trio from austrailia who perform some songs like this on youtube. their harmonies are really wonderful.

  • This is great! Really enjoyed your version of this song.
