Actually you are wrong. The snapping sound happens exactly between 22-23. That is the sound of the impact. It took a fraction of a second of the sound to reach the viewer and be recorded, hence the tiny delay. And bones breaking can and do make a sound. It was hard enough to break a jaw for sure. So yes, I'm still right. And yes, you are wrong.

It is a hook kick, I do taekwondo, (9 years of martial arts total) and I have knocked a few guys out with the same kick, I also have been knocked out or rocked by that kick. The power is generated in the momentum of the kick. Hook kicks work wee if I threw a tornado kick, it misses, now I follow it up by landing the kicking foot on the far side of my body and do the hook kick. The hook kick is powerful alone but a "fatal" hit if it is a follow up from another kick.

That kick is for gay people, defense easy after first kick you must run towards him and time it perfectly hitting him and pushing him in one motion like a bodycheck. He dodged the first, but tried to block the second, the force shattered his guard and knocked him out. Either dodge or parry-counter. Kicks are the most powerful attacks in martial arts by far. Palm strikes and fist strikes carry less than half the power most of the time.
