@MrJohndoakes The Cambodian government probably sold them to the Khmer Rouge before they took over. You will see footage of alot of KR with M-16's. People think that they were taken off of dead soldiers and some were but many were in fact bought from Lon Nol's Generals.

The Cambodians cut their own throats through graft and corruption. Ofcourse, pigs like Lon Nol escaped only the leave the rest to suffer.
