  • Hi i think its better to cooked it with more oil and dont peel the eggplant skin x suggest lang po but hey ho! I do like it so i will cook this later . I do live in urumqi before the land of the chili and i tasted this dish b4 very nice ! !! Gudluck po !!! And more power !

    I am an American who lived in the Philippines for a few years. I sure wish you would speak more English or put the recipe in the sidebar for us whose Tagalog is VERY minimal. =)

  • yah, foods from szechuan are verrrrryyyyyy spicy. as in suuuuuper anghang!

    ung mga bata dun, binibigyan ng sili kung umiiyak, para tumahimik. un ung sinisipsip nila, tapos tahimik na cla. ganun katindi!

  • How long do you cook the mixture to get the eggplant to go soft?

  • simmer mo lang sa mahinang apoy for about 15 minutes wag din sobra kasi panget din pag masyadong lata...

  • opppsss... ur not filipino right? okay il just translate what i said...

    just simmer over medium heat for about 15 minutes and not to overcook because for me it isnt good...

    Really? Gawin mo siya? Salamat ha. Alam mo, cooked SZECHUAN EGGPLANT kinabukasan nung pina-nood ko siya, na-gustuhan ng mga kapatid ko.. Actually, hindi namin inubos, kase nga para may pang-bukas pa, ahahaha. Ganun ka-sarap recipes mo!

    walang ano man...

    kanina galing kami sa asian store wala silang TOFU... huhuhu:( pero may talong na ako at giniling at iba pa yon lang tokwa ang wala... 2 lang kasi asian store na malapit sa amin di gaya sa Milan na sobra sa 10...

    anyway, ang masarap sa sesame oil ai inde lang yong lasa nya pati din yong amoy nya... pero yon nga lang inde lahat ng luto nababagayan...

    Oo nga pala, marunong ka nung EGGPLANT TOFU? Parang ganyan rin siya, wala nga lang meat yun e, kaso problema ko, yung eggplant, hindi siya naging soggy, o malambot? Dapat ba na pagluto ng Eggplant walang balat?

    If ever may idea ko ano to'ng Eggplant Tofu, please share, actually, yung Eggplant Tofu ko na yun is really bad, I tried to copy this Eggplant Tofu kase na I ordered sa restaurant, tapos, hayun, ahahaha, hindi masarap yung version ko!

    to be honest with u hindi pa kami nagkakilala ni EGGPLANT TOFU... but i have some idea in my mind how to do it... a bit similar with this but SZECHUAN EGGPLANT... u try to fry muna d TOFU before mixing up with the EGGPLANT... pagkaganitong mga luto ng EGGPLANT i recommend na balatan yong EGGPLANT...

    i hope nakataulong ako... il try to do it next week and il post, then tell me if it's close to ur EGGPLANT TOFU... u given me d idea kasi... ahehehe =))

  • Hi peachy..yes, sichuan cuisine is from sichuan china.. most of their dishes are spicy. Taga cebu sad ko & currently staying in china. Lami sad ang sichuan food if hilig ka og halang..NIce vid by the way.. Keep it up. Hope to see more of your vids here in you tube..God bless..
