Just though of something. At the end of Birth By Sleep we see both Terra and Xehanort's hearts inhabiting Terra's body, with Xehanort being in control. Since Ansem is confirmed to be Xehanorts heartless, meaning his was the heart consumed by darkness, what happened to Terra's heart? Did it fall into darkness along with Xehanort? Is it wandering the dark realm like Aqua? Or maybe it sealed itself into the heart of another like Ventus did with Sora?

Mysterious Figure is obviously not Young Xehanort because Xehanort himself is much more older- it would not make any sense if it was YX. Also another reason is the music. It would have to contain bits and pieces of any of Xehanort's Themes (Ansem/Xemnas). Mysterious Figure possibly could be Ansem the Wise. Not sure but I have a feeling its him.

This makes us question, what was Ansem like before BBS? Maybe he did have some sort of fighting in him

the ansem theory is essentially that he's testing you, which is why he just leaves without incident even though after the fight its clear your attacks haven't done much damage to him and he still had the upper hand.

@St3p7up Your statement contridicts itself. Terranort/Xehanort didn't seperate into a Heartless and Nobody until AFTER Birth by Sleep. Nomura confirmed that this character and battle is canon, and the only ones who fight him are Terra, Aqua, and Ventus. Due to the ending of the game, that means that it happens before the final battle at the Keyblade Graveyard, meaning it CAN'T be Xemnas. The arguement isn't solved. It will be solved when we stop guessing and get the games to give us the answers.
I don't think any organization members should be counted because Org.13 did not exist at all nor was ever a consistent thought of Xehanhort at this point in the series. It can't be Eraqus because he did not wield two blades. Xemnas is possible if the blu blades were somehow his original ether blades-altough terranhort is still alive though which kills that theory(how can terranhort be alive and somehow xemnas pops out?). Ansem the Wise is the only remaining suspect out of this list.
The last thing we all know is that this guy could be the next main villian after the Xehanort Saga is over. He's probably waiting for Xehanort to be out of the picture; either way this is just my theory.
I dunno if its still going on but some people say you have to hack the game to fight him but thats not true i didnt believe it so much either until i finished game and did almost everything i could in it (killed Vanitas Lingering Will...) about 4 times cause this guy decided not to show until the day i saw land of departure at lvl 13 i was scared :l i fought him and got owned in seconds...(was critical mode xD) you need to seriously Grind 2 win against this guy i dont think you can win 1st time.

Well I don't think that, he neither lost his heart nor he turned into a heartless, but its a good guess. I think he is Master Xehanorts Nobody, would be logic: He removed his heart, his old body remains, and after the fight he disappears, just like a Nobody.

@tripleflare33 That really isn't a spoiler considering that Xemnas doesn't even exist at the point in time that the Mysterious Figure appears. A more sensible suggestion for a guess as to who MF actually is would be more along the lines of Ansem. Ansem the Wise, that is.
I finally figured out who this guy is,Its master xehanorts black coat he wore during the opening cut scene with ven on destiny islands.When terra was taken over by Xehanort the coat became a lingering will like terras armor in that sort of way.
my theory is that it is ansem the wise he knew alot about organization 13 when they came into existance their plans and even where they got thier coats

@Dumbrarere I used to think that. Black coats being a reference to Org XIII. However, if you've played BBS you'll see that Master Xehanort wears black coats. And they just simply let you travel through the Corridors of Darkness without being attacked by heartless, so that's why the Organization uses em.

@St3p7up Your statement contridicts itself. Terranort/Xehanort didn't seperate into a Heartless and Nobody until AFTER Birth by Sleep. Nomura confirmed that this character and battle is canon, and the only ones who fight him are Terra, Aqua, and Ventus. Due to the ending of the game, that means that it happens before the final battle at the Keyblade Graveyard, meaning it CAN'T be Xemnas. The arguement isn't solved. It will be solved when we stop guessing and get the games to give us the answers.

I don't think any organization members should be counted because Org.13 did not exist at all nor was ever a consistent thought of Xehanhort at this point in the series. It can't be Eraqus because he did not wield two blades. Xemnas is possible if the blu blades were somehow his original ether blades-altough terranhort is still alive though which kills that theory(how can terranhort be alive and somehow xemnas pops out?). Ansem the Wise is the only remaining suspect out of this list.

I dunno if its still going on but some people say you have to hack the game to fight him but thats not true i didnt believe it so much either until i finished game and did almost everything i could in it (killed Vanitas Lingering Will...) about 4 times cause this guy decided not to show until the day i saw land of departure at lvl 13 i was scared :l i fought him and got owned in seconds...(was critical mode xD) you need to seriously Grind 2 win against this guy i dont think you can win 1st time.

One of them, or most of them probably, involve this guy in some way. He's most likely involved with Xehanort as an accomplice, but Xehanort did not wish for him to reveal himself. (Barring his consecutive 3-fight appearance in the fragmented Land of Departure.)

Yo creo que el encapuchado es el incorpóreo de Eraqus porque usa ataques de sus aprendices (Meteoro, Aero, Megafulgor) y porque aparece en Tierra de Partida. Además, Xehanort tiene una Llave capaz de liberar corazones y s e la clava a Eraqus,por lo tanto, puede dejar el cuerpo de Eraqus inerte y crear un incorpóreo, además de que Eraqus desaparece, al igual que Xehanort.Ty for read ;)
