  • Your blood will not boil if exposed to a vacuum. This is a common myth.. The human skin is in fact almost airtight, if not completely air tight, and the human body-temperature regulates itself through thermal radiation (air) .. If there's no air, how could you ever feel warm or cold? It'd take days/weeks before a human body would freeze in space..

  • @RickyboyH No. It's not a common myth. The first man in a vacuum environment of space (Joe Kittinger)'s glove ruptured and his blood began to pool and boil in his hand.

You know they don't mean "boil" as in, heat, right? Because their is no air, the bubbles in your blood will expand. Much like an extreme version of the bends. Please do not pollute knowledge with stupidity.

  • @yesiamawizardjonny That is bullshit, just pure bullshit my friend, your blood or any other fluid (except for saliva in your mouth) will not "boil" in a vacuum. They will expand, yes, but they will not "boil"..

Google "Space Activity Suit" (Then click on the wikipedia article)

Please stop contaminating this world with your ingorance and stupidity. It serves no-one.

  • 82 kilograms on earth and only 14 kilograms on the moon, isn't this technically false? weight is calculated by mass and the mass doesn't change on the moon, so...am i right? :L

  • @Dcapd if you are on earth you feel like normaly 82 kg but on moon you feel like 14 kg...

  • @cupis997

correct, but they said that u weigh 14kg, rather than u FEEL 14kg, that's what i was getting at. soz i waz just being a bit exact (and geeky) :3
