its weird how 80s computer commercials the computers were all about graphs and pie charts and thats about it....todays are all about the internet lol:P I dont think people would be awed by tacky boring graphs today!!
Oh my goodness, how far we've come since the 80's. It has happened so fast we just don't realize just how far. It's so cool to see these old commercials. Thanks for sharing.
The facts are flawed, sir. He is talking about Dr. John H. Watson, friend of detective Sherlock Holmes. HOWEVER, that is NOT who the AT&T commercial is referring to.
That is Alexander Graham Bell's (Bell Laboratories) assistant Thomas Augustus Watson.
The AT&T narrator is Martin Sheen. Father of Warlock Sheen.

You are correct, sir. It was late when I posted and I simply "goofed up". I have corrected my error. Thanks !

@manhatin Actually, the answer is not at all "Watson". It is "Bell". Read the formulation of the question carefully, gentlemen.

As pointed out by Dave Swinger, the character in the AT&T commecial was based on Bell's partner Watson.
