I voted for Reagan in '84, my first Presidential election vote. I was and will be forever proud of President Ronald Reagan. If you only knew of the national malaise following Vietnam and the Carter years, you would know why Reagan is one of our greatest Presidents.
Churchill and Reagan were the true giants of the 20th century. Churchill and the English saved Western civilization while the inaccuartely much-beloved FDR oscillated and vacillated while simultaneously creating a European-styled socialist republic here. Then he did nothing but humiliate Churchill time and again at Yalta and Tehran.
REAGAN KILLED COMMUNISM.
I have read that one cannot go into any bar, hotel, restaurant, etc... in Eastern Europe and not see his picture on the walls.
May God Bless you Mr. President. I was proud to serve for you sir. I will never EVER forget you as long as I draw a breath. America lost a GREAT man sir when you left us. Peace be with you Mr. Reagan.
@MarioSMB3 Conservatives are not extreme. You are told to think that because the tv tells you too. Is a father extreme when he wants his family to not go bankrupt and lose their home, car and lifestyle? Does it sound extreme if a father has guns in his home to protect against an intruder? Or does it sound extreme when someone spends their family into the poor house and/or is gambling every weekend? Does it sound it extreme to live in a neighborhood with high crime rates and not own a gun?
@MarioSMB3 So what makes the collapse of a nation a good thing? All it did was usher in a Russian crime wave! Also the Soviet Union didn't fall completely due to R.R. it was from within and b/c of Reagan's enormous military spending (small in comparison to todays yes but over-bloated nonetheless). Also Gorby saw the writing on the wall and stood down, they were under economic turmoil not far from where we are as a nation today thanks to BushObama. Reverse the economy true but mainly by debt.
I'm not doubting that he increased Govt and taxes and even the debt. But in every instance, he gave belief that if you try, you CAN succeed. Don't let the "Little" voices stop you from becoming the best you can be. Now with Obama, we feel lost, unhappy to be ourselves and at times, feel like our President is stabbing us in the back.
REAGAN , RIP . ALONG WITH ALL YOUR ANTI AMERICAN REPUBLICAN POLICIES ! THE WAR ON DRUGS WAS SUCH A SUCCESS TO LIMIT GOVERNMENT . IT CREATED A NIGHTMARE FOR AMERICAN CITIZENS AND PUT MANY AMERICAN CITIZENS IN PRISON .IT ALSO COST TAXPAYERS TRILLIONS UPON TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO STOP A WEED FROM GROWING . REAGAN RAISED TAXES , HE CATERED TO THE RICH , HE HATED WORKING AMERICANS , HE INVADED WOMENS RIGHTS .THE ECONOMY SUCKED , HE CREATED A POLICE STATE IN AMERICA . REAGAN SUCKED ! RIP REAGAN !
Reagan would understand we need a Churchill. He understood his place. He promised us a better America. All Churchill upon taking office was blood, sweat , tears and toil. Ronald would throw his crown to a better man at a more critical time. He was that kind of man!
I was a young kid when President Reagan died, but I still honor him and, indeed, all past Presidents who have kept our great country alive for 235 years. I thank you for everything you have done for this country, and bid you farewell Mr. Reagan! God bless America!
I want to see a memorial to him, Just like Lincoln, Washington have in Washington D.C we NEED another president like him. Reagan was a TRUE American. His wit and grace amazed everyone. I was a small child when he was president but have researched him.. The people that compare Obama to him need to watch his Challenger Memorial speech, they way he speaks to the Children of our great country, R.I.P Mr, President,
I grew up watching Reagan's speeches on TV. I didn't understand everything he said, but it was always interesting to watch him even for a kid. He seemed so dignified and truly "Presidential" while still being sincere and humble. He'll always be THE president to me!
The finest Commander and Chief I ever server under! I had he pleasure of piping them (Mr. and Mrs. Reagan on board and meeting both after the speaches! The respect and way he carried himself made me shake when crabbed your hand to shake it! What a man!
If only he could have been president sooner. But maybe it was better the way it happened, if he had beaten Ford, he wouldn't have had Thatcher & John Paul II to support his vision of opposing communism. The collapse of the Soviets is one of the greatest political historical events ever. It is up there w/ the fall of Rome. Truly world shattering Ronald Reagan the Great.
Was the Alzheimers the 'Lord's' handiwork work? Let's not forget the great number of innocents in Central America who were not given the opportunity to see out their twilight years as a direct result of the Reagan administration's actions. 'God' bless them above all others, as they were impailed at the alter of wickedness that is neo-liberalism.
One can certainly tell that it is once again election time as all the liberal kooks from Media Matters, Daily Kooks, Tides foundation and so on are out and about now spewing their liberal heads off in anger as they know they are about to get clobbered bigtime this coming Nov 2 2010. Thank you President Reagan! We will always remember you and you know we love you so much for all that you did for our country! God bless you all who love this man!
Reaganomics was a failure. If tax cuts paid for themselves we would not have a national debt of over 12 trillion dollars. Presidents have virtually no control over economic ups and downs. A tax cut is meaningless to a person who has no job or is worried that they might lose theirs at any time. Those people save. Businesses that get a tax cut still don't hire if people aren't buying.
The national debt was accued thanks to the continuation of failed Liberal social programs which provide no benefits but still eat up funds, increasing the national debt needlessly. ANY financial advisor will tell you....its NOT how much you make (tax revenue to the government) but its all about how much you spend (social programs eating up tax payer dollars). Reaganomics was a glimpse of what it SHOULD be like all the time, rather than increased taxes fueling liberal spending.
@NickB1121 You mean Social Security and Medicare, programs that the American voters have no desire to see end. If they fail it's because Americans won't man up and accept the taxes for the programs they want.
@chrycohauler You don't know the difference between a budget deficit and the national debt. All Reagan did is tell people nighty nite stories written by other people. I remember people booing him when the economy was bad. If Reagan was elected in 2008, tell me what you think he would have done to fix unemployment without spending money?
@auerstadt06 He would have lower taxes just as He did in 1980.He knew that by allowing people to keep more of what they earned it would create a natural stimulus to the economy.A nd guess what ?..it did..Unequalled economic expansion and and more revenue than ever to the Treasury. It's something that Obama who is supposedly so smart can't see this wisdom. Obama needs to read Milton Friedman if he really wants to understand economics. But all he knows is tax and spend in true liberal style
@auerstadt06 Reagan left office with a 65 percent approval rating and at his funeral there were hundreds of thousands of people lined up all across America where ever the Funeral went. This man was an all time great. He lowered taxes, stopped the Soviet Union, cut spending, appointed conservative judges, and above all he was a good solid Christian man who did truly care for the American people. NO man since Reagan and few before Reagan did so much for America.
@Marksnotebook I didn't say he wasn't a nice guy or a solid Christian. But his "supply-side" economic theory just didn't pan out. Trickle down economics just isn't the answer. Don't take my word for it; educate yourself.
@auerstadt06 if trickle down didn't work..how do you expalin the greatst economic expansion i history? and which economic group benefited most...the black middle class...there is no denying that the economic policies during the Reagan years were right on..George H W Bush would have won re-election had he not strayed from Reagan. He made the ftal error of working with Dems who couldn't be trusted then or even less now
@chrycohauler Biggest economic expansion in history? That happened under Clinton, when 22 million jobs were created. When you say something as ignorant as "the fatal error of working with Dems who couldn't be trusted then or even less now." It pretty much shows you to be someone who's neither rational nor educated. It is a fatal error to even be talking to you, because you can't be trusted then or now to have any real grasp of the actual numbers. You still haven't addressed the national debt
@auerstadt06 First of all. Lets look at what benefits Clinton had. 1) The jobs that were created was by the dot com explosion. There were millions of jobs created in the computer industry like never before. Inspite of Clinton. 2) Newt Gingrich and Dick Morris saved his presidency. Dick begged Clinton to follow the new conservatives lead and stop spending, do not raise taxes and sign the contract with America. Initiate welfare reform. The congress balanced the budget NOT Clinton!
@SuperGuitarman69 The same point I'm making, really. Before you deify someone and give them all the credit for the good things that happened on their watch you need to look at the whole picture. Just like Obama is not responsible for most of the crap that is going on right now.
@auerstadt06 No he is not. However you gave to look exactly at what he is doing. Look very carefully. And use your brain. He is going in the exact opposite direction than what our country needs. Why? The most important question you need to ask is why. Think about that
@chrycohauler A recent study showed half of all Americans do not read the newspaper. Another showed only half of Americans vote. One can only hope it's the same half.
@ShaneMac777 well that study on only half vote is wrong because last election the majority of Americans, and the ones that dont vote quite frankly dont understand what they have and are not patriotic to their country.
@chrycohauler LOL.....you should take a look at my channel as I have Obama shining Sarah Palins shoes. And yes I agree with you 100 percent. Do you think the dems will call us bigots now?
I want to see another man win 49 states in an election. A true American hero. Please dont even talk about Obama on here. Reagan loved his country for the principles men had died fighting for. He did not constantly put down his country. Until we learn the lessons he showed us America is facing another decline. I wont ever say there isnt anyone out there like him that could save us, maybe we havent seen him yet. But we need you back in spirit again Mr. President. God Bless you.
@kenjfisc Oh God how we do need another great man like this wonderful man, Reagan. This country is in terrible trouble and we need another great leader to come forth soon! Evil will not fore take this nation! We shall survive and rid this country of the wretched evil which has infected it as of late. We love the Lord and we will never surrender to evil. We will fight to the end. We are Americans! We are a blessed people and very peace loving! We stand firm in our beliefs. Amen.
@kenjfisc Yes he loved his country so much he illegally sold weapons to terrorists & then funneled the money to bloodthirsty rebels who murdered innocents. Tripled the national debt, deregulated everything, gave amnesty to 3 mil. illegal immigrants, ignored the AIDS crisis for retarded religious reasons, raised taxes 11 times, allowed unfettered outsourcing for corporations, retreated like a pussy from Lebanon, helped create the Taliban, and pretended he wasn't losing his mind while in office!
He shook my hand when he visited us at LeJeune after we came back from Beruit. I will never forget that hard, firm handshake when he looked me in the eye and said "Well done, Marine!"
@MultiBaldEagle I was able to meet him and Nancy when I was in college in the 80s. It seems such a short time ago but yet its been over 20 years. I saw the look in his face then, and I am not ashamed to say that when he died, I cried during his funeral and we all watched it in its entirety OH Man do we need a man like Reagan to take this country by its horns and turn it around! WE have nothing but weakness now and it shows! I want to be proud to be an American again!
@TheTrimby1973 ....I'm not a hero. I was able to come back from Lebanon walking and talking. The heroes came back in metal coffins. Many of them , I actually went through basic and SOI with.
@MultiBaldEagle The brave soldiers who gave all for Freedom, yes, they are heroes. But sir, those of you who did come back are heroes in my eyes as well. Thank you for your service to this country!
@TheTrimby1973 ....LCPL Stanley J. Cornnsha, LCPL Michael Wentski, SSGT Martin Rudolph, 2nd Lt. James D. Cranshaw, Pvt. Aaron Worth, MSGT Robert Yeary, Capt. Douglas Willingham.....these are just a few of the brave men who came home from Beirut in metal coffins. They are forever Marines. They are my brothers. They are America's heroes, just as all members of every branch of Armed Services are. Semper Fidelis!!
Mr. President, God rest your soul, it saddens me to say that we need you more now than we did in 1980....there is no one on the political horizon that is anywhere near comparable to you in the promise you showed as a candidate in 1976 and 1980 and what you actually did for us from 1981 to 1989. The last time I voted in a presidential election with full conviction in my choice was 1984....cant imagine why I havnt since. Hmmm.....
@Thejbirdy I will say this again. Reagan won in a landslide in both elections. You even talking bad about one of the top 3 Presidents in American history shows that you are a radical leftist loony bin. Noone agrees with you. We had 2% unemployment. Businesses were sprouting everywhere. Fortunes were made. People had better lives. Now, your communist that fooled the masses Obama? Remember me in 12' when he not only LOSES TO A CONSERVATIVE. He will lose in a landslide. America unlike you are smart
@SuperGuitarman69 Right, you and what army exactly? You're a typical reactionary right winger w/ your comment, that seems rather clear. You don't even know what you're talking about. You shower someone with empty platitudes. "America unlike you are smart.." BWHAHAAA, nice grammar. I think we know who the DUMBASS is here when it comes to smarts.
@SuperGuitarman69 Um, no. Did you know that MOST of America's prosperity was on DEBT? We ran up an enormous deficit that Bush said he would not tax and THEN DID! Where did the deficit come from...your deity, Mr. Reagan.
@Thejbirdy Proof where is your proof..Oh i forgot...you're a liberal who believes in revsionist leftist history. just throw out inuendo and baseless fact with no backing
@chrycohauler What the hell are you crying about again? Sorry I don't need your right wing trolling. You've f***ed up this country under Bush enough as it is...
@Thejbirdy Wow. First of all. When Bush started acting like a stupid lib idiot and started with bailouts and his foolish mini stimulous as well as siding with the 2 dumbest mother f......ers on planet earth Dodd and Frank and signed the bill that gave Fannie and Freddie the right to give loans to those undeserving? That is why we are in this mess. Reagan did everything right. Once again, The greatest president ever. Up there with Jefferson and Washington. Dirty tricks? Look no further than.. P1
@Thejbirdy Anti-American, Anti-Christ lying sack of monkey shitbag puke Obama. He has spent more money than all the Presidents COMBINED. I do not know why I am even commenting back to someone who is foolish and dangerous and has no business living in this country. You are dangerous to freedom and the free market. I have a degree in economics. Which means that I too when I was young was just as stupid, foolish and dangerous as you. Until I learned the truth about economics. Instant Conservative
@SuperGuitarman69 Oh you have a degree in economics! Big fucking deal, how is it you can't spell or use grammar AT ALL? Interesting, was that the Tonka-land degree from the Dominican Republic? It's dolts like you that scare me, misinformed, dogmatic, knee-jerk reactionary zealots telling people to leave. Well maybe you forget, this country doesn't belong to US anymore but China. And your right wing agenda made sure of that thanks to G.W!! Duh. FAIL, try again.
@SuperGuitarman69 What's also astounding is you INSTANTLY assumed I agreed with Obama's policies but they are DIRECT causations from Bush's failed administration and where did the Bush plague come from? Ronald Reagan choosing Herbert Walker......I rest my case.
@Thejbirdy Did you know that Ronald Reagan did not want Bush?? He was against ANY one thing that would take away civil liberties and slant to liberal policies. And everytime I go AGAINST republicans and I do is when they act like Dems. Dems acted like republicans when Reagan was in. They followed his lead and the country was better for it. Clinton was smart enough for the most part to follow the lead of Newt Gingrich thanks to Dick Morris.
@SuperGuitarman69 Well, (As Reagan would say) certainly ol' Ron was not the WORST president in American history, I'll leave that to Bush. In fact Reagan had to go with many (what would be considered today) liberal policies b/c he had a democratic congress to block him. But Reagan made concessions and agreements and was never as stubborn and stalwart as Bush was. You hate Obama, that's clear but Obama is also undoing many things that were destroying this country under Bush.
@Thejbirdy True, but as I said Bush went to liberal policies. That is why I DID not like Bush. And both Bushes and Obama were for the New World Order. And Reagan was COMPLETELY against America losing it's soverignty. He did NOT like Bush, Sr. He wanted someone else for VP. Bush did nothing under Reagan. Reagan wouldn't let him. And congress actually followed Reagans lead. They would not be reelected if they did not.
@SuperGuitarman69 Actually if you knew some of Reagan policies, you'd know he also stood for many things you would probably consider liberal. 1.)He compromised w/ the Soviets on arms control much to the chagrin of his conser. associates. 2.) Govt. actually expanded under his admin, especially military spending 3.) In 1983 he actually "saved" Social Security (fact). However, he was no Bush that much was true and he did wish for prosperity despite the impending deficit...good for him.
@Thejbirdy Well, yes he did expand government military spending. This is true. I conced that. He did negotiate with the Russians on arms control. That actually is a Conservative principle. It is the one thing that the damn Bushes have destroyed about the Conservative ideals. None of us agree with it. Remember all the wars in the past? Started by Dems.
@SuperGuitarman69 Wars all started by Dems? I seem to remember many wars being passed along from Dems to Repubs and now it has been Repubs to Dems. The truth is they're ALL in it for the long profit margin. The military industrial complex as it were. And I'll certainly concede I would take a Ronald Reagan over a George Bush ANY DAY!
@Thejbirdy I think that trend will change. Bush Sr. had a legit reason to go into Kuwait. Our gas prices would've skyrocketed. So, it was short and sweet war. That was totally ok. This war? NOOOOOO WAYYY and most conservatives agree. We are out of the Bush era now.
@SuperGuitarman69 Actually Saddam was told it was ok b/c it was part of Iraq (in Iraqi-Sunni viewpoints) and it wasn't until the shieks (Bush's buddies) screamed bloody murder did Bush realize his money could have been in trouble. Otherwise Saddam was an ally of the U.S. b/c they were enemies of Iran. We're out of the 1rst Bush era but remain from George the II and his repercussions currently.
@Thejbirdy No Bush had no money in Kuwait. Remember, we get the majority of our oil there. If Saddam would've took it over we would've been nailed for years on oil prices. It would've crippled the American economy. THAT war? Was absolutly the right thing to do. He won, pushed them out. And came home. Quick and clean. That was a just battle
@SuperGuitarman69 Bush has had investments and back-room deals with Saudis for YEARS! What are you talking about? It devastated the landscape and caused major fires polluting that region for decades. It might have saved a few dollars at the pump but at what cost? We might as well realize we fight wars over tiny regions smaller than the size of New Jersey! It wanted protection by Saddam during the Persian gulf war w/ Iran and then was originally given by the Brits.
@Thejbirdy Wouldn't say backroom deals when they were televised. And Bush and the oil from Texas hasn't a thing to do with the Saudis. The American government has a lot to do with them. Those asses have us by the balls. Now how can we stop it? Easy! DRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILL!!!! Anwar has enough oil to wean us off of foreign oil for 30 years, long enough for corporations to work on alternative energy to bring about new growth. NOT OUR TAX DOLLARS TO GOVERNMENT. Private co. Milton Friedman!!!
@SuperGuitarman69 Boy have you got a bit to learn sir. The Bin Laden family were actually DIRECTLY linked to the Bush family in terms of oil deals! Don't believe me? Google away! Yeah drill....as if our environment doesn't have enough damage. 30 years away long enough? Too little too late I'm afraid to say, hottest summer in human history this year and it's getting worse.
@Thejbirdy Due to the myth of man made global warming? Maurice Strong, UN's agenda 21, David Rothschild, The Club of Rome go on Google away. DriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiLL
@SuperGuitarman69 Oh right, all the alleged conspiracy theories, yes I've read about the payola going to scientists to BS their way around a real crisis facing the world. Widespread fires in Russia this year (700 people dying a day), floods in most of southeast asia, icebergs melting at alarming rates, this is not made up.
Oh yeah the tinfoil hat people will tell you otherwise, anything to perpetuate the oil industry.
@Thejbirdy By then private companies would develope other fuel sources. ie.. the oil companies. After all they have the science and resources and initiative to do so. Not the government. The government wants to use Cap and Trade. A scam from the outset. I have been screaming to high hell on the subject. Now my voice is muffled by others who are screaming louder than I joining in on speaking out against the scam.
@SuperGuitarman69 Well Supe, I agree with you 100% on the cap and trade level, a TOTAL scam and very little to helping the environment. Just passing the burden of air pollution on to lesser nations and a continuation of poisoning our world. I only WISH it was something that could give us time to develop other fuel sources, unfortunately most of the scientists (again) are saying; "too little, too late."
@Thejbirdy My 1st cousin is a Climatologist in Portland Oregon. He works for a private company that studys gases in earths atmosphere to create more efficiency in air travel. They sell the results to airline companies. He is a lib. Always has been. He has flat out told me it was a scam. That the carbon that man puts in the atmosphere is virtually indetectable. He is ARDENTLY against the AGW push. But remains silent because to his friends? It is their cash cow at the moment>
@SuperGuitarman69 That's interesting. However why are the ice caps melting at such an alarming rate? Why so many monsoons? Hurricanes? Tsunamis? Wildfires everywhere over the last decade and a half. I mean this stuff is scary sometimes. Especially being a new dad. Maybe there is a scam going on and led by Al Gore I'm sure.
@Thejbirdy You need to check global history. We are not having more we are having less natural disaters. There is no alarming rate in the least. We have been cooling for the last 10 years. In fact, answer this question. When was the last time we were in a mini ice age?
@SuperGuitarman69 Last year? LOL. No but seriously I really hope you are right and I AM WRONG this time Supe! Haha. I mean a great majority of scientists say temps are rising as well as sea levels. This is NOT a minority but a majority, the facts speak for themselves. A huge glacier came apart in Greenland and now Russian oil companies fear it may damage rigs, I mean are these just lies?
@Thejbirdy No of course not. But we are coming out of an ice age. The fact that ice is melting on Greenland is no cause of man. In fact, it is called Greenland cause it indeed was once green. Lol, this is a scientific fact. It really is a scam. After I had discussed it on the phone with my cousin gearing up to have a fight on the subject I was disappointed when he said yeah it's a buncha bunk from folks wanting to get rich off of the American tax payer. And damn, I like fighting with him.
@SuperGuitarman69 Right but the hotter it gets the more crops are affected and this sort of thing can only be by a few temps per year, this is not a insult to anyone concerned but mere fact. This is what scientists are talking about,
Whether it's a course of nature or not it will never be for humans to expect complete survival. We're just visiting this God green earth and she can shake us like fleas if need be.
@SuperGuitarman69 I would rather "go naturally" as the Blood sweat and tears song (and when I die) says but it would suck more if it was man-made that we all died from.
On Ronald Reagan, he was a decent enough guy but he had so many screwballs around him..Edwin Meese? Ollie North? James Watt? EEEshh ::shudder:::
@Thejbirdy He also had Milton Friedman and George Shultz. 2 of the most intelligent men on the planet. Check out Milton Friedman on YouTube. He is my hero
@SuperGuitarman69 Yeah, I don't suppose you come up with very good people for ANY administration until things start rolling along. Gerald Ford for example couldn't understand for the life of him what became of Dick Cheney and why he turned so sinister.
@SuperGuitarman69 you ever notice that with liberals if you present them with facts they can't dispute they go for the gutter with name calling.Reagan was and is the greatest President of the 20th century and beyond.Facts and history don't lie..Liberals do
@chrycohauler True my friend. There is good news. Independants for the first time are actually paying attention thanks to FOX and radio pundits. With the internet to verify facts with the information that Beck and others give it is becoming increasingly difficult for the left to lie as they always have. I predict with the left exposed like this their numbers wil die. We have to stay active and take back the schools etc. Progressivism MUST die!
Okay so the guy had PERSONALITY! It clearly goes a long way in this country, forget policy, forget air traffic controllers and people with aids, they don't count! It's who you know and whether you have the gall right?
The saddest part about his passing is that he probably didn't even remember being president. One of the most powerful, articulate men in the world died a lowly humble death, unable to even communicate the thoughts in his brain. There is such a powerful juxtaposition between his presidency, the powerful culminating point in his life, and his death, a lonely and confused slippage into the beyond. Rest dear friend, you may not remember, but we will never forget.

He was a great personality and he did some things right wingers would cringe at: gun-control, raising taxes and outspending the Russians. But a cannonized president in league with Teddy R. FDR. Eisenhower,
I am so steeled with pride and respect to see these soldiers who defend us from our enemies honor this great man. Let us humble ourselves before the God of our understanding and join arm in arm as Americans, and preserve this great nation, whatever our politics. We are facing a tough time now, but we shall overcome. We shall never bow to communists, nazies, or terrorists. At the end of the day, we are all Americans, brothers and sisters.
@Thejbirdy He was an incredible man. Have you ever read any of his biographies? Do you know anything about him? He excelled at everything he did. He was well liked and respected by those he worked with even on the left. He brought back optimism to this country after Jimmy Carter had left it in a shambles. You don't know anything about reagan beyond the predictable lefty-bs. since u have nothing to add please go display your ignorance elsewhere, thank you!
@magdamagda999 Hey, I know you're just a Reagan zealot but maybe you forget we had the largest deficit in America under him, militarism took an all time high in this country and thus promoting the industrial-military-complex Eisenhower warned us of. He left Americans stranded as sitting ducks in Beirut to be blown away. He WAS NOT this perfect ideal you make him out to be! No president ever hardly is! He left this country in HUGE debt, talk about a shambles..please.
@aviationwingnut I call it a deficit CREATED by Bush by ENORMOUS tax breaks for the exclusively wealthy during wartime......what do you call that? gENIUS??
@Thejbirdy Go away. Mr.Reagan was one of the top 3 Presidents to ever live. One of the greatest human beings to ever live. He was voted in in a KO in both elections. He transcended politics. He was a True American. He was a statesmen. I still watch his speaches and tear up. He was like a father to this country. He made this country GREAT. What do we have now? Noone. A nobody that should not be in the country much less President. So, as Presidents go? I simply call Ronald Reagan Mr.President!!
@SuperGuitarman69 Hey dude, it's a free country so I WILL NOT go away, sorry but I have a god given RIGHT to disagree with you. What made him such a great human being? He was an ACTOR! He won both elections b/c the democrats had Barney Fife and his sidekick for personalities, he won on THAT alone. A statesman, don't make me laugh. You cannonize this conservative like the way the Chinese worship Mao!! BTW, it's spelled: "speeches". Try again.
@Thejbirdy No, he was the last President we had. The days of the Democratic having true Presidential material ie.. a JFK is over. I think that your leftist idiot party has seen the light with Obama. They are realizing that socialism does not work and is not American in the least. I see the next President being a true conservative. No more Bushes. This country wants and needs another great President like Ronald Reagan. He did so much to bring us back. A great man, a great leader, top 3 Presidents
@SuperGuitarman69 Oh big holy crap from you...Yeah right dude, and your right wing, militant "cowboy" diplomacy is a thing of the past as well. Conservatism is a dead idealism that is as OLD as the Reagan era and JUST as hackneyed as your your pissant "trickle -down theory BS. Great conservative came to it's grinding demise under Dubya: Deregulations which brought us this mess and wars wars wars....pfft.
@magdamagda999 Maybe you like the guy, the gipper, the happy-go-lucky attitude, I GET IT. But you should NOT be telling people what they can or cannot post, THAT is as good as fascism and pretty damn well UN-American.
The greatest president of this generation. BAR NONE. What a travesty we have in the White House today. Absolute shameful disgrace and perversion of the American way of life.
REGARDLESS of any other complaint of the Bush years, thank you God that you returned <St.> Reagan before the current leader could defile his ceremonious departure from the world for which he did so much.
I greatly admire this man...I do not regret voting for him twice. He brought strength and grace to the office of the President of the United States. I regret that it is being totally destroyed now.
When Reagan died I was in Georgia on vacation and I remember Nancy releasing a statement that weekend saying that Ronnie's time had come. My heart sank as I knew the wicked Alzheimers had taken its tole. I cannot believe it has been over 20 years since the end of the Reagan revolution. I met this man when I was in college and he was truly remarkable and a total confident gentlemen who gracefully commanded respect. I dearly adored him. He was my hero as a young man in school.
@Marksnotebook I'm glad you liked it. If you get the time, read my story about when I found out President Reagan died. It is on my website. I'll add the link in the description.
@Marksnotebook The greatest president of this generation. BAR NONE. What a travesty we have in the White House today. Absolute shameful disgrace and perversion of the American way of life.
I love the Battle Hymn of the Republic. Unfortunately they changed the word "let us die" to "let us live" to be free. I hate liberalism as it weakens and dumbs down America. So many brave souls died for us to save our great country. I would die for my country if necessary. I love America. Nobody can take that away from me! God Bless America!
@fedtheend : Excuse me, but you are mistaken. Michael Reagan is the Reagans' adopted elder son. President Reagan's brother was named Neil (Moon) Reagan, who died in 1996 at the age of 88. He was 3 yrs. older than his younger brother, the President.
Mr. Reagan...your country misses your strength, courage, and leadership. I am honored to say that I voted for you as President. I miss having a commander in chief I can respect and look up to. RIP sir and know you made a difference and for a brief moment in time we were once again that shining city on the hill
With the exception of this great man, who is considered by most all historians and polls to be a Top-10 President, our nation has been led by a succession of average to poor Presidents for about half a century now. No wonder our country is in the condition it is in. Obviously, it is way too soon to judge what President Obama's ultimate legacy will be. God bless you Nancy, for all that you have done too.
I respect our President, in fact I voted for Mr. Obama. I am honored that Dr. King's dream has finally come true. However that has nothing to do with this video. A man served his country supremely to the best of his ability.I believe President Reagan did the best he could and I could certainly not have done better. The Berlin wall is down, a Russian President as a friend, what an accomplishment in the cold war times Glory glory indeed...God bless. And God be with President Obama now today.
are you serious...Obama is stupid. I know all you conservatives(kkk) hate the president, you all know that he very intelligent and practical. That's why u hate him..pure jealousy. He has a beautiful wife(who is a super smart and fine) what president had a wife like that other than kennedy..she was pretty but no way was she as intelligent. I know you haters out there can't stand it...sorry it's the NWO
Hey shadowbollocks, you're an embarrassment to idiots and morons everywhere with your pathetic grammar, spelling, sentence structure, and lack of organization and thematic content. In other words, go back to the public school or the "HO dat brung ya".
@shadowhenderson39 u know what, Obama is nothing more then a PR product of the US to fix its image in the world. and guess what, yes he is doing it! its all cool from the outside, but u will see the inside of it, what is is doing to your country...
and Michelle is nothing more then Obama's PR product....
i am speechless in what is is doing to your country...but you will realize it, but by then would be too late...

SuperGuitarman69 9 months ago
@MarioSMB3 So what makes the collapse of a nation a good thing? All it did was usher in a Russian crime wave! Also the Soviet Union didn't fall completely due to R.R. it was from within and b/c of Reagan's enormous military spending (small in comparison to todays yes but over-bloated nonetheless). Also Gorby saw the writing on the wall and stood down, they were under economic turmoil not far from where we are as a nation today thanks to BushObama. Reverse the economy true but mainly by debt.
Thejbirdy 9 months ago
I'm not doubting that he increased Govt and taxes and even the debt. But in every instance, he gave belief that if you try, you CAN succeed. Don't let the "Little" voices stop you from becoming the best you can be. Now with Obama, we feel lost, unhappy to be ourselves and at times, feel like our President is stabbing us in the back.

Businesses that get a tax cut still don't hire if people aren't buying.
auerstadt06 1 year ago
@auerstadt06
NickB1121 1 year ago
@NickB1121 You mean Social Security and Medicare, programs that the American voters have no desire to see end. If they fail it's because Americans won't man up and accept the taxes for the programs they want.

auerstadt06 1 year ago
@auerstadt06 no..that's Obama's one term legacy..spending more money than all Presidents up to Reagan..Obama isn't fit to shine Reagan's boots
chrycohauler 1 year ago
@chrycohauler You don't know the difference between a budget deficit and the national debt. All Reagan did is tell people nighty nite stories written by other people. I remember people booing him when the economy was bad. If Reagan was elected in 2008, tell me what you think he would have done to fix unemployment without spending money?
auerstadt06 1 year ago
@auerstadt06 He would have lower taxes just as He did in 1980.He knew that by allowing people to keep more of what they earned it would create a natural stimulus to the economy.A nd guess what ?..it did..Unequalled economic expansion and and more revenue than ever to the Treasury. It's something that Obama who is supposedly so smart can't see this wisdom. Obama needs to read Milton Friedman if he really wants to understand economics. But all he knows is tax and spend in true liberal style
chrycohauler 1 year ago
@auerstadt06 Reagan left office with a 65 percent approval rating and at his funeral there were hundreds of thousands of people lined up all across America where ever the Funeral went. This man was an all time great. He lowered taxes, stopped the Soviet Union, cut spending, appointed conservative judges, and above all he was a good solid Christian man who did truly care for the American people. NO man since Reagan and few before Reagan did so much for America.
Marksnotebook 1 year ago
@Marksnotebook I didn't say he wasn't a nice guy or a solid Christian. But his "supply-side" economic theory just didn't pan out. Trickle down economics just isn't the answer. Don't take my word for it; educate yourself.
auerstadt06 1 year ago
@auerstadt06 if trickle down didn't work..how do you expalin the greatst economic expansion i history? and which economic group benefited most...the black middle class...there is no denying that the economic policies during the Reagan years were right on..George H W Bush would have won re-election had he not strayed from Reagan. He made the ftal error of working with Dems who couldn't be trusted then or even less now
chrycohauler 1 year ago
@chrycohauler Biggest economic expansion in history? That happened under Clinton, when 22 million jobs were created. When you say something as ignorant as "the fatal error of working with Dems who couldn't be trusted then or even less now." It pretty much shows you to be someone who's neither rational nor educated. It is a fatal error to even be talking to you, because you can't be trusted then or now to have any real grasp of the actual numbers. You still haven't addressed the national debt
auerstadt06 1 year ago
@auerstadt06 First of all. Lets look at what benefits Clinton had. 1) The jobs that were created was by the dot com explosion. There were millions of jobs created in the computer industry like never before. Inspite of Clinton. 2) Newt Gingrich and Dick Morris saved his presidency. Dick begged Clinton to follow the new conservatives lead and stop spending, do not raise taxes and sign the contract with America. Initiate welfare reform. The congress balanced the budget NOT Clinton!
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 The same point I'm making, really. Before you deify someone and give them all the credit for the good things that happened on their watch you need to look at the whole picture. Just like Obama is not responsible for most of the crap that is going on right now.
auerstadt06 1 year ago
@auerstadt06 No he is not. However you gave to look exactly at what he is doing. Look very carefully. And use your brain. He is going in the exact opposite direction than what our country needs. Why? The most important question you need to ask is why. Think about that

@kenjfisc Yes he loved his country so much he illegally sold weapons to terrorists & then funneled the money to bloodthirsty rebels who murdered innocents. @SuperGuitarman69 What's also astounding is you INSTANTLY assumed I agreed with Obama's policies but they are DIRECT causations from Bush's failed administration and where did the Bush plague come from? Ronald Reagan choosing Herbert Walker......I rest my case.
Thejbirdy 1 year ago
@Thejbirdy Did you know that Ronald Reagan did not want Bush?? He was against ANY one thing that would take away civil liberties and slant to liberal policies. And everytime I go AGAINST republicans and I do is when they act like Dems. Dems acted like republicans when Reagan was in. They followed his lead and the country was better for it. Clinton was smart enough for the most part to follow the lead of Newt Gingrich thanks to Dick Morris.
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Well, (As Reagan would say) certainly ol' Ron was not the WORST president in American history, I'll leave that to Bush. In fact Reagan had to go with many (what would be considered today) liberal policies b/c he had a democratic congress to block him. But Reagan made concessions and agreements and was never as stubborn and stalwart as Bush was. You hate Obama, that's clear but Obama is also undoing many things that were destroying this country under Bush.
Thejbirdy 1 year ago
@Thejbirdy True, but as I said Bush went to liberal policies. That is why I DID not like Bush. And both Bushes and Obama were for the New World Order. And Reagan was COMPLETELY against America losing it's soverignty. He did NOT like Bush, Sr. He wanted someone else for VP. Bush did nothing under Reagan. Reagan wouldn't let him. And congress actually followed Reagans lead. They would not be reelected if they did not.
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Actually if you knew some of Reagan policies, you'd know he also stood for many things you would probably consider liberal. 1.)He compromised w/ the Soviets on arms control much to the chagrin of his conser. associates. 2.) Govt. actually expanded under his admin, especially military spending 3.) In 1983 he actually "saved" Social Security (fact). However, he was no Bush that much was true and he did wish for prosperity despite the impending deficit...good for him.
Thejbirdy 1 year ago
@Thejbirdy Well, yes he did expand government military spending. This is true. I conced that. He did negotiate with the Russians on arms control. That actually is a Conservative principle. It is the one thing that the damn Bushes have destroyed about the Conservative ideals. None of us agree with it. Remember all the wars in the past? Started by Dems.
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Wars all started by Dems? I seem to remember many wars being passed along from Dems to Repubs and now it has been Repubs to Dems. The truth is they're ALL in it for the long profit margin. The military industrial complex as it were. And I'll certainly concede I would take a Ronald Reagan over a George Bush ANY DAY!
Thejbirdy 1 year ago
@Thejbirdy I think that trend will change. Bush Sr. had a legit reason to go into Kuwait. Our gas prices would've skyrocketed. So, it was short and sweet war. That was totally ok. This war? NOOOOOO WAYYY and most conservatives agree. We are out of the Bush era now.
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Actually Saddam was told it was ok b/c it was part of Iraq (in Iraqi-Sunni viewpoints) and it wasn't until the shieks (Bush's buddies) screamed bloody murder did Bush realize his money could have been in trouble. Otherwise Saddam was an ally of the U.S. b/c they were enemies of Iran. We're out of the 1rst Bush era but remain from George the II and his repercussions currently.
Thejbirdy 1 year ago
@Thejbirdy No Bush had no money in Kuwait. Remember, we get the majority of our oil there. If Saddam would've took it over we would've been nailed for years on oil prices. It would've crippled the American economy. THAT war? Was absolutly the right thing to do. He won, pushed them out. And came home. Quick and clean. That was a just battle
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Bush has had investments and back-room deals with Saudis for YEARS! What are you talking about? It devastated the landscape and caused major fires polluting that region for decades. It might have saved a few dollars at the pump but at what cost? We might as well realize we fight wars over tiny regions smaller than the size of New Jersey! It wanted protection by Saddam during the Persian gulf war w/ Iran and then was originally given by the Brits.
Thejbirdy 1 year ago
@Thejbirdy Wouldn't say backroom deals when they were televised. And Bush and the oil from Texas hasn't a thing to do with the Saudis. The American government has a lot to do with them. Widespread fires in Russia this year (700 people dying a day), floods in most of southeast asia, icebergs melting at alarming rates, this is not made up.
Oh yeah the tinfoil hat people will tell you otherwise, anything to perpetuate the oil industry.
Thejbirdy 1 year ago
@Thejbirdy I think you are incredibly gullable.
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 And i think you believe what anyone will tell you instead of weighing the facts. Drill drill until there's nothing left, THEN what.
Thejbirdy 1 year ago
@Thejbirdy By then private companies would develope other fuel sources. ie.. the oil companies. After all they have the science and resources and initiative to do so. Not the government. The government wants to use Cap and Trade. A scam from the outset. I have been screaming to high hell on the subject. Now my voice is muffled by others who are screaming louder than I joining in on speaking out against the scam.
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago

SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 That's interesting. However why are the ice caps melting at such an alarming rate? Why so many monsoons? Hurricanes? Tsunamis? Wildfires everywhere over the last decade and a half. I mean this stuff is scary sometimes. Especially being a new dad. Maybe there is a scam going on and led by Al Gore I'm sure.
cheers.
J
Thejbirdy 1 year ago
@Thejbirdy You need to check global history. We are not having more we are having less natural disaters. There is no alarming rate in the least. We have been cooling for the last 10 years. In fact, answer this question. When was the last time we were in a mini ice age?
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Last year? LOL. No but seriously I really hope you are right and I AM WRONG this time Supe! Haha. I mean a great majority of scientists say temps are rising as well as sea levels. This is NOT a minority but a majority, the facts speak for themselves. A huge glacier came apart in Greenland and now Russian oil companies fear it may damage rigs, I mean are these just lies?
Thejbirdy 1 year ago
@Thejbirdy No of course not. But we are coming out of an ice age. The fact that ice is melting on Greenland is no cause of man. In fact, it is called Greenland cause it indeed was once green. Lol, this is a scientific fact. It really is a scam. After I had discussed it on the phone with my cousin gearing up to have a fight on the subject I was disappointed when he said yeah it's a buncha bunk from folks wanting to get rich off of the American tax payer. And damn, I like fighting with him.
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Right but the hotter it gets the more crops are affected and this sort of thing can only be by a few temps per year, this is not a insult to anyone concerned but mere fact. This is what scientists are talking about,
Whether it's a course of nature or not it will never be for humans to expect complete survival. We're just visiting this God green earth and she can shake us like fleas if need be.
Thejbirdy 1 year ago
@Thejbirdy Now on that? You are 100% correct! If it is happening, it is happening naturally and we can do nothing about it. And that is scary as hell
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 I would rather "go naturally" as the Blood sweat and tears song (and when I die) says but it would suck more if it was man-made that we all died from.
On Ronald Reagan, he was a decent enough guy but he had so many screwballs around him..Edwin Meese? Ollie North? James Watt? EEEshh ::shudder:::
Thejbirdy 1 year ago
@Thejbirdy He also had Milton Friedman and George Shultz. 2 of the most intelligent men on the planet. Check out Milton Friedman on YouTube. He is my hero
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Yeah, I don't suppose you come up with very good people for ANY administration until things start rolling along. Gerald Ford for example couldn't understand for the life of him what became of Dick Cheney and why he turned so sinister.

Thejbirdy 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 you ever notice that with liberals if you present them with facts they can't dispute they go for the gutter with name calling.Reagan was and is the greatest President of the 20th century and beyond.Facts and history don't lie..Liberals do
chrycohauler 1 year ago

Reagan and JFK were the only truely great presidents this country has ever had,all the rest are half ass hacks.

FDR. Eisenhower,
nah.

@Thejbirdy The LARGEST deficit???? What do you call it NOW.....RIGHT now? Smaller?

@Thejbirdy Go away. Mr.Reagan was one of the top 3 Presidents to ever live. One of the greatest human beings to ever live. He was voted in in a KO in both elections. He transcended politics. He was a True American. He was a statesmen. I still watch his speaches and tear up. He was like a father to this country. He made this country GREAT. What do we have now? Noone. A nobody that should not be in the country much less President. So, as Presidents go? I simply call Ronald Reagan Mr.President!!
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Hey dude, it's a free country so I WILL NOT go away, sorry but I have a god given RIGHT to disagree with you. What made him such a great human being? He was an ACTOR! He won both elections b/c the democrats had Barney Fife and his sidekick for personalities, he won on THAT alone. A statesman, don't make me laugh. You cannonize this conservative like the way the Chinese worship Mao!! BTW, it's spelled: "speeches". Try again.
Thejbirdy 1 year ago
@Thejbirdy No, he was the last President we had. The days of the Democratic having true Presidential material ie.. a JFK is over. I think that your leftist idiot party has seen the light with Obama. They are realizing that socialism does not work and is not American in the least. I see the next President being a true conservative. No more Bushes. This country wants and needs another great President like Ronald Reagan. He did so much to bring us back. A great man, a great leader, top 3 Presidents
SuperGuitarman69 1 year ago
@SuperGuitarman69 Oh big holy crap from you...Yeah right dude, and your right wing, militant "cowboy" diplomacy is a thing of the past as well. Conservatism is a dead idealism that is as OLD as the Reagan era and JUST as hackneyed as your your pissant "trickle -down theory BS. Great conservative came to it's grinding demise under Dubya: Deregulations which brought us this mess and wars wars wars....pfft.
