  • I liked the project, you showed the details facilitating to be an expert in the system...

    Very good.

  • @Murilogeures Thank you!

  • I just wanted to say that this is a great video. I like the ending when the plane flies into the sunset. Very poetic. I recently got into RC flying and it's great fun. You really inspired me to build my own. I just purchased a GWS Slow stick but I think I will build one from scratch later when I get more experience. I hope you make more videos like this one.

  • @lacone3615 Thank you very much, I'm glad it inspired you and that you are getting into rc flying. It's a great hobby. I have lots of hobbies & interests. I do have a video of another homemade plane, if you haven't seen it. Check out my videos, I have lots of airplane ones. Good luck!!

  • Why does the sun have a black hole in it

  • @ironhide0998 ooh no, we all gonna die, and you discovered first ;)

  • what do you call the motor for the rudders ?? please I gotta know

  • @LanceEndayaBerlinwoo a servo - these are 9gram micro servos

  • Honestly, once again, I feel like an idiot.

You can pay a lot for foam from an rc supplier or

you can get the exact same stuff from Home Depot

and go out to dinner with the money you saved.

  • if the wind blow that thing is gone but thx for vid

  • I was realy hungry making this so I ate the pink cotton candy(:

  • wtf

  • Thanks Dude very cool

  • can u use a part of a ice cream stick as a hook thing for the back moving part

  • @drayclay1000 Sure a poscicle stick would work great with a hole drilled through

  • do u need a speed controler

  • @drayclay1000 yes - depending on if u have a brushed or brushless motor, you'll need the correct type of speed control

  • where we can buy the remote controls and how we can use them ???

  • nice one

  • 9:39

    Black hole sun,

    Wont you come,

    And wash away the rain.

  • mine rc planes was cheaper it cost about 1100 USD :P

  • @adnan5514 you need to buy a radio and servos to attach as well as a transmitter and some cables to power the engine, depending if you want it to be three channel or not.

  • i know how to make anything like car or plane or boat with motor but i have a problem plz help me that i don't know how to make it rc

i just connect the tyres with motor and hold the wire up to the battery and it moves

plz help me i want to make my onw rc cars and boats

  • i was searching for a cheap car for sale and here is where i ended up

  • and i actually put a..... Shape on the wings

  • only one thing is left in this plane that is arming AGM stand by!!!

  • i made one kinda like this you dont have to use alot of diehiedral in the wings an the wingspam you would want is if the wing was splot in the middle a total of 21 inchs perside so that gives yeah @42 inch span wich is perfect for slow flying with 3 channel basic set up an u can also regular 3\4 beer cooler foam thats are in sheets to make wing use gorilla glue or loctite 5min plastic epoxy from wal mart ive used that epoxy on alot of differnt foam an had no problem do not use permtex epoxy!!!

  • you said u got servos from hong kong, and u bought the control for ten bucks. so if u bought servos and control separate, how could u make them compatible? sorry if my question is stupid, but I'm new into rc planes. thank u.

  • @GODsoccersk8football Most servos are universal and will fit in most any receiver. All you need to worry about is if your transmitter & receiver work together.

  • @spear913 and wut do u do to make ur control and servos compatible since u bought them separately? how do u modify them?

  • te hek what a charger ;D

  • ohh yeah nice work!

  • hey can u make a step by step video how to make this cause i can't understand it very well.plzzz

  • Whats the wingspan and lenght of the plane ?????:)

  • Would you happen to have any written plans of it?

  • what motor u used?

  • @rahmanhassan89 originally a brushed 280 motor with gearbox but changed to 1250 kv Emax brushless outrunner

  • Black dot over sun?

  • What kind of people can dislike this video??? I dont get it.

  • good work man, nice

  • what are the rpm of brush motor that you used plzzz tell me and volts of that motor......rapidly reply me.or ad me at my yahoo id Rshahid14@yahoo.com

  • I like to buyil my own stuff too even tho it's sometimes not even 1/2 as good as bought stuff. It's fun to experiment.

  • how heavy is this rc?

  • I made a home made plane. Spend $2.50 on the Airframe, Fly's wonderfully.

  • If you use equal part of white glue plus water, paint it on foam, when its dry, you can use w/e aerosol spray on foam.

  • 6 amp battery charger !!!!! HoSLOW

  • whao this is good!

  • hi

ur plane is good can u plz tell me what are the volts of the brush motor that you used..plz reply as soon as possible

  • when i was 12 and the goal was to impress all your friends, I made my own RC plane that could fly 312 meters away and not lose signal. It could carry up to 6.5 kilos in weight and flew as fast as a bike I remember the first time i flew it, lasted about an hour before it glided down. When i was 15 i made t able to drop stuff, like water bombs. I was the coolest kid in my school. when i was 17 we moved house and my plane got destroyed. After watching this vid. I feel like making another

  • I really like your plane man . Can you built it for me and I buy from you ? Do you think its possible ? :)

  • Hey dude you know you could possibly manufacture this thing. I mean like it cheap to make and you could sell it for like 12$ to 15$

  • He flys it at 9:30.

  • good work but i cant find meterials

  • the dislike and like bar looks like a pencil

  • how did I get from growing corn to this?

  • very good, informative video. thanks.

  • will poster board cardboard work?

  • where do you get the "foam"??

  • i cant find a controller for a cheap price, what frequency does it have to be?

  • Has anyone tried using a 2 stroke from a weed wacker.

  • 600$ or 6$

  • gud 1 :)

  • It's not an eclipse, the sun looks that way on a low- def camera.

  • Hello from Finland. I just loved this! Genious stuff. I of course would have done few things differently (and more expencively) but gotta say, that that was awesome. Keep up the good work and keep posting!

  • this was cool

  • Is that a solar or lunar eclipse?

  • would you modify it with ailerons

  • nice

  • Comment removed

  • For the foam cutter, another option if you have a low power battery charger is to use a thinner wire. But maybe you already used the thinnest guitar wire you could find.

Cool stuff anyways. And congrats for the craft.

  • You do realize all you've done is create a home version of a GWS slow stick. You can get one for around 25.00$ & have to supply 2 servo's , ESC , tx/rx , & battery & you've got one of the most stable electric flyers invented.

  • Good for you on the home-made plane thing. I am of like mind. No need to spend crazy money. Could you give me the seller on those servos? I haven't found them that cheap yet. That IS some serious dihedral! You could probably get a little extra flying time by getting the CG right without the dead weight bolt on there. Seems like it wouldn't work quite so hard carrying the extra weight but what do I know :-)

  • @tinkerrbill Sorry, it was too long ago. Don't remember the seller but it was a korean seller i believe.

  • @spear913 yay I'm korean haha xD

  • @spear913 I made a airplane from an old RC mini helicopter that i had ( it was 20 $ ) , i took the rear motor and propeller, the battery it had and the microcyp ( with switch and recharge plug) and made a body from polistirene sanded down , the wings were from polistirene dishes I cut and sanded , and the wheels were made from 2 plastic circle i cut out of a larger piece ,they were atached with some wire , glued it all together and i had a plane :D

  • @yomyssebyy2 but it was like one third the size of your's ... still it was nice because the microcyp had an flashing LED that was visible trough the polistirene ... in the night it was very usefull

and it needed about 5 feer to take off ( witch I made a plywood take off pad for it [ it had hinges so i could take it with me everywhere { from feet to feet it had a hindge }]) still it was nice ..... untill I hit a bird with it ( or it hit the plane ) :( .. and it was in pieces after .... :((

  • @tinkerrbill have you tried hobbyking?

  • @F16V1PER, No, not yet but based on the stuff I have looked at they still are probably a little high for me. Of course, I'm coming from the retired, fixed income, not really a lot of play money group. I have lots of time so that is what is spent, looking for the real bargains and I do find some sometimes. The other thing is, my grandson got me interested in rc aircraft recently but I'm a fairly quick study. I know there is a cutoff point where if you buy garbage, you get garbage!

  • @tinkerrbill I found those servos on hobbypartz(dot)com for $2.77

  • @benadrylp, Thanks, I'll go take a look!

  • @benadrylp , OK, I think I found the ones your referring to: bit.ly /irNRLU. (I had to put a space in there just so u-tube would accept it. If you copy, take it out)Shipping is just under a buck a servo but I'm going to take advantage of free shipping if order is above $25. Thanks again!

  • @tinkerrbill you can get them at robot shop for $12

  • @tinkerrbill The best bang for the buck is "heads up rc" He sells stuff really cheap, $2 flat rate, no matter what you buy. and he ships extremely fast.

You could buy overseas, but they will charge you an arm and a wallet to get the stuff over here.

  • @TreyRust , This is the third response I have gotten on looking for cheap servos and comes real close to being SPAM! TreyRust, DO NOT WASTE MY TIME!You make it sound like you can buy anything for $2 when that is just the flat rate shipping. If you read my criteria you would know that my criteria is CHEAPEST not FASTEST or FLAT RATE! I have long since bought my servos ultra-cheap at bit.ly /r74WO8. (I had to put a space in there just so u-tube would accept it. If others copy, take it out)

  • @tinkerrbill whoops, worded that wrong... it was pretty late at night.

Sorry, but I replied in the uploaders comments section, that didn't have your other comments.

Let me begin by rewording the $2 thing... The shipping is $2 for everything you buy, period. The problem with korean places like hobbyking is, everything is cheap, fine and good. But then they charge you $100+ for shipping. Thats why I brought that up after seeing the uploaders comment, and it wasn't necessarily directed to you.

  • @tinkerrbill And like I said before, it wasn't necessarily towards you. I didn't see your criteria either.

His 9G's are about $4. And that is more then what you want to pay I suppose. But I would rather buy from them, because they are Hi-Tec servers, rather than knock-off tower pros. Of course, I haven't heard anything bad about the TPs, I would just rather buy from a brand I can trust. Again, didn't read that you wanted cheapest, or any comments other than your first until now really.

  • how did you made all the R/C ??

  • duct tape donut :D

  • what materials did u use

  • can i use box

  • If you use 2 propellers do you need torque steer?

  • Try adding a string to pull the wing down during flight. It'll make it much stable.

  • The most important of all Tha engine with enough power:D

  • you should fly it after 5 minuts!

  • 2 words REALLY COMPICATED

  • WHAT IS THE FREQUENCY OF YOUR CONTROLER

  • OMG!!! the sun is black when he tests it!!!

  • can you tell me from where did you get the parts

  • My neighbor which is old, he would build rc planes, and at my school is a park, i would see him testing out some of his planes

  • how doy you syncronize, connect or whatever the servos to your controller?

  • instead of putting weight on the nose why not shorten the rudder so it weighs less without putting more weight on

  • 9:40 look sun

  • @spear913, Great build! Shows a lot of ingenuity! For my 1st scratch-built, I want to do a fanfold "facetmobile" flying wing about 2ft long with 1/4" blue foam. I also do a lot of searches for China-built rc stuff and enjoy finding really cheap prices but $1-each for those servos is incredible! Could you share the source?

  • hey @spear913 can you tell us all measurements of a plane...pls...

  • whats the starter song?

  • guys if you want to make styrofoam plane you must watch kipkays foam factory video it will make this project a billion times easyer.

  • U R DA BOMB MAN THX!!!!! XD

  • HAHHAHAHA 7:03....its an rc car

  • this is very cool and I am very interesed about rc plane but I want to improvise...

can I make servos from copper wire to make electromagnets?

in the gearbox how much is the ratio between the electromotor and propeller?

and how you make wing shape from hot wire and pink foam?

  • i am looking into building a plane, and i dont know what to start with on motors and props. to make a plane powered by a 6 cell nicd ornidh how big a motor and wingspan would u use?

  • I like very simple and well thought out. Makes me want to fly it lol. Thanks for sharing !

  • great vid..They're a lot of fun

  • wow that is superb well done

  • Do you have any idea what the wing loading is? And the power to weight ratio?

  • how do u build it? all details

  • Do you Use a PCB or an recipients?

  • @Spear913 hey this is really cool but im a newbie on building rc planes and i was just wondering would you mind telling me the name of the thing you use to hold the wings together? Thanks mate

  • @Rhoni5106 I don't know that it really has a name, I just came up with it for my design.

  • @Rhoni5106, I would call it a dihedral mounting block because that is the two things it does, a place to glue the wings and at a angle for better flying stability. :-)

  • @Rhoni5106 qwestion im building an cessna 158 or some outher # but orgonily it was soposed to be an electic agine but i replaced it with a gas engine which reqwiers a 3rd servo i maid an wooden mount but wt can i use to glue it to the side of the inside of the airplane

  • wow!

  • what is the torque steer for anyways?

  • @jghanson25 It's a problem caused by the prop spinning one direction, on some planes it can cause the plan to pull to that side or make it unstable

  • @spear913 sweet man. its starting to make sence now. thanks alot. i will try to make a video of the plane that im building if your interested in checking it out.

  • sweet. so the torque angle thing isnt exactly crucial to for building a successful rc plane then? im building a micro piper cub so thats why i was wondering. thank you! =]

  • @jghanson25 I think it all depends on the plane itself. Some are more susceptable to torque steer than others

  • did you do anything special for the torque angle of the motor??

  • @jghanson25 no, its straight

  • @jghanson25, If you do experience a torque steer problem, just a slight adjustment canting the motor towards the direction the spin is coming from will take care of it. If you purchased the plane, chances are the manufacturer has already done lots of testing before introducing the plane for sale.

  • great plane dude

  • @lLikeChocolate thanks

  • NICE JOBBBBBBBBB COOOOLL

  • whats a servor

  • @kevinjobypiano its a word not in the eng dictionary

  • hey sir please make video how to make it.

  • To straighten wire you can chuck a length of wire into it into a drill and clamp the other end into a vise or similar. Put some tension on the wire and then engage the drill. It takes all the kinks out really well.

  • Well done, you made a good job from next to nothing

  • nice job mate happy flying

  • thanks so much buddy! i was looking to make one for as cheap as possible but didnt even think about using foam isulation. and thanks so much for the in depth walk through of how you made it. you saved me so many hours and so much aggrevation. thanks again

  • dude

u need a longer wingspan and longher chords

    im studying aerospace in class

  • @619fateh he said it already flys perfectly

  • @619fateh doesnt make you an aerospace engineer already. you need to work first ; )

  • wingstays WILL LET YOU ATTACH BATTERIES, WINGS, SPEED CONTROL.....anything you want! check it out! wingstays

  • where could u get a 4ch RC transmitter for 10$?? is it used or something???

  • @kiranprasad92 ebay if you get lucky at the time

  • if he had used WINGSTAYS it might have made some things easier.

  • prop size and motor specs? is it the 37 gram motor 1300kv?

  • Epic!

  • I love the build....good work...fly on pilot

  • what motor did you use? and what battarie?

    tnx

  • Where did you order the servos from what website

  • @Bigmig639 ebay

  • @Bigmig639 Go hobbypartz and you wont believe what you are going to pay for a micro servo not to mention that they ship them for free.

I wll let you look at it, other wise you wont belive me,

  • that is an awesome plane not!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheAwsomeniss2 how bout you go make one on your own

  • @ubercoolist sure

  • @TheAwsomeniss2 lemme no when you finish

  • @ubercoolist no way

  • @TheAwsomeniss2 oh yea cuz u cant make one

  • @ubercoolist ya and you post vids on how to make an airplane it sucks

  • @TheAwsomeniss2 i never said i could make one i said it was awesome leave me alone you 40 year old creeper hobo

  • @ubercoolist i no you are

  • @TheAwsomeniss2 get a a life

  • @ubercoolist you

  • @ubercoolist you

  • @TheAwsomeniss2 the "You" thing is gay as kkk thing is.

P.S: It's for people that can't insult others.

  • TheObeyWeegee sucks

  • @TheAwsomeniss2 really? way to insult me, dickhead.

P.S: Why not get a new insults book, it will really help you.

  • @TheObeyWeegee shut up

  • black sun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • visit bungymaniadotcom for RC plane accessories!

  • servers? where did you get that!

  • how far can it go away from you, that is how far without loosing the Remote signal
