it's just the Yamaha C7-piano sample (the 'old' version, form the 1st Stage-series), no effects, backed up by a simple synth-pad I created myself.

So actually it's not a standard patch from the library.

Oh so you can only layer the 2 sounds like that on the Stage series which has the Synthesizer Control section?  I'm getting the electro 3...I wonder if you can layer 2 sounds using the software

I believe the layer-function and the synth section is something that just the Stage has, and not the Electro 3. I jused to have an Electro 1, and that did not have those functions. With the Stage you can even layer multiple sounds, eg piano+organ+synth.

I have also got a Nord Stage, but mine sounds better...I'll suggest you to have two bigger loudspeakers, and maybe use the equalizer...

Well, I guess it's all a matter of taste, isn't it? But no matter how good the speakers are (KRK's), recording with a digital camera (as I did) will destroy any sound.. :)
