nice layout...may i make one recommendation though? if it was me, i would of painted the structures inside all black, this way the lights will not shine thru the plastic as much..
Nice layout, dude! Question for ya: how did you pave over the tracks that run in the road? I'm trying to use Smooth-It but kind of regretting it. It's a lot of work scraping it off the inside of the rails.
Thanks!! To try to answer your question, first, I used spackling compound to pave the road on either side of the tracks. During this step I used masking tape to cover both rails to avoid the problem you described. For the space in between the rails I cut balsa wood the the necessary width and used double sided tape to adhere it to the track bed. So far this method has worked well, especially when I have to clean the rails.
This is wicked awesome! I definitely never saw this vid before. How did you mount the cam and what kinda cam? I love your layout especially all the Amtrak stuff!
Once again a very well done video! But it's too bad your audio was disabled. If possible you should post the real video without the music because they'll disable the audio again because of the music. But anyway, fantastic video; 5 stars!!!!!
Thanks for the comment and rating! Sorry about the audio I think I'll just have to audio swap the music, but it won't be as good as the original song I had in the video.
cool, nice setup, great lighting, i like the music too.
