It's nice to be reminded of the things that affected you growing up, even if it didn't last. Our God is a great God, rightious king, loving and kind. He loves everyone and wants to have a personal relationship with you. All it takes is accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior. Just admit that you are a sinner, believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior and died on the cross for your sins and rose again 3 days later, confess your sins to God, and repent which means to turn away from your sins and sin no more.
To claim that the bible has errors in it just shows you lack understanding. Cause if you could understand the bible you would realize their is no error or contradiction in it.

If you were, the connection here is that there are spells cast on characters you play with the pieces, silly and just a game, but there were many suicides by people who became obsessed with the game and identified waaaaay too much with their characters. Cont. After studying the scripture, and praying endlessly (with no response) I came to the conclusion that if god was real, he would want me to use my talents. Like thinking. That is when I investigated the bible and the context of the bible. I came to the conclusion that it is a fairy tale. Look into it for yourself. You will be surprised at what you find. It is not too late to be truly saved.

Jesus said that The New Testament wasn't contradictory to The Old Testament. Rather it is the ultimate fulfillment of the spiritual intention of the law.
So their sins were still remembered. Also back then the Holy Ghost didn't dwell in them. The Holy Ghost didn't dwell in any believer until after the crucifixion of Jesus Christ cause Jesus promised that he would send The Holy Ghost to them after his death and ressurection. So back then if they practiced witchcraft they wouldn't feel sorry for it and would never change their ways.
God had promised to send Prophets to reveal God's will. The term testament means covenant. The Old Covenant was replaced by the New Covenant. In Hebrews 10:16,17 it says "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more". In The Old Testament a sacrifice was to be made for their sins every year but it didn't cleanse them of their sins.
The nations before them would sacrifice their children to do unnatural things. How do you feel about people killing their children just so they can talk to spirits or tell the future. The main reasoning of God pushing out the nations before them, was so that Israel wouldn't be tempted by their lifestyles and religious practices. They were to be a nation of God. They were warned about trying to predict the future for the supernatural realm wasn't to be known by anyone.

@AesirSpell The law was never meant to be a burden on the souls of men. Rather than pointing the way to salvation, the law convinced men of the need for a savior. In order to be saved by the law you have to be 100% obediant to the law. But nobody can be 100% obediant. So all are worthy of death. The New Covenant placed God's law within his people, would provide greater intimacy with God and greater knowledge of Him, and would provide final forgiveness of His peoples sins.

Further than that, the law is now like our measuring stick of how far off we are of Gods expectations. But we can't be 100% obediant to the law cause we are sinful and will always sin and for our sins we are worthy of death. But Jesus came and lived a perfect life and never sinned and then died for our sins so that we can recieve salvation through Faith and accepting Him as Lord and Savior.
@AesirSpell Jesus fulfilled the Law and the Old Covenant. Back then the sacrifices were only a temporary covering of sin. Jesus death was the final sacrifice that forgave us of our sins. So to answer your question. Yes the Old Testament laws are still in effect. We are not to break any of the commandments. The New Covenant was God putting His law within us. Back then only the Jews could be saved. Now even the gentiles can be saved making it where we all can be saved.
@AesirSpell When Jesus died upon that cross he became a curse for us. He took our place in God's Divine Wrath. So all of our sins that we have committed that make us worthy of death Jesus endured for us out of love for us all. The punishment for the sins is still in effect. But Jesus took our place so that we wouldn't have to suffer. Jesus was the fulfillment of the Old Covenant. It wasn't by his life that the New Covenant was ushered in but by his death and the spilling of Jesus' blood.

The old testament was gods will. God is unchanging. So, are we to believe that because society feels that murdering infants, and slavery, and rape is wrong...does this mean that we are to deem this as evil? Or does might make right? Listen, friend, you generalize people too much. I'm a Christian, or should say, I believe in God. I don't follow religious doctrines, and haven't been to Church in a year. Of course, as a child I had to go, but didn't like to, so my parents allowed me to stay home.

I'll admit that my great grandma brought me to church when I was a kid. She also made my 2 brothers go to church too. But I'm the only one who still goes or even tries to live my life by what God says. So that's 1 out of 3 people. But it doesn't end there.

@britts676 I was raised in a family where my dad was an alcoholic and my mom rarely ever went to church. My two brothers were to preoccupied with sex to even think about God or church. Let me tell you it's not a good feeling looking around and seeing so many kids at church with their families and I know that mine didn't care enough to go. One day I broke down and started crying cause of the fact that I was the only one in my family that was at church....and I was 18 years old.
@britts676 My own home didn't feel like a home. I can't even begin to tell you all the times I had to go an entire day only having half a bag of potato chips to eat for the whole day. My parents seperated when I was 13. I came from a broken home but God accepted me into his extended family. I even had a time where I was being tormented by a demon. But I had faith in God and I reached for the bible and held it close to my chest and slept with it on my chest the entire night.

I am event organizer for a group of 70 people who play DnD and other rpgs, and none of them have had any such events happen. Saying "if you had the Holy Ghost" to me is awful egotistical of you. @bwrpwr i used to play yu-gi-oh, and it's practically the same. after i got the holy ghost i felt aa dark presence every time i plaed it. i didn't like feeling tht presence because it felt weird and scary. trust me, u dont want to mess with anything tht has anything to do with satan, even the things tht represent him.
@bwrpwr - because of the spell casting as the challenge in the game, well that was one thing but living through the 80s as a teen, I saw the game become widespread. That still wasn't the problem. The problem was that suddenly there were many suicides by people whose character died in the game. Mainstream churches pegged it as demonic influence due to the spell casting. I said it was mental issues of people not spending enough time in the real world.

If you were, the connection here is that there are spells cast on characters you play with the pieces, silly and just a game, but there were many suicides by people who became obsessed with the game and identified waaaaay too much with their characters. God had promised to send Prophets to reveal God's will. The term testament means covenant. The Old Covenant was replaced by the New Covenant. In Hebrews 10:16,17 it says "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more". In The Old Testament a sacrifice was to be made for their sins every year but it didn't cleanse them of their sins.

@AesirSpell The law was never meant to be a burden on the souls of men. Rather than pointing the way to salvation, the law convinced men of the need for a savior. In order to be saved by the law you have to be 100% obediant to the law. But nobody can be 100% obediant. So all are worthy of death. The New Covenant placed God's law within his people, would provide greater intimacy with God and greater knowledge of Him, and would provide final forgiveness of His peoples sins.

But we can't be 100% obediant to the law cause we are sinful and will always sin and for our sins we are worthy of death. So to answer your question. Yes the Old Testament laws are still in effect. We are not to break any of the commandments. The New Covenant was God putting His law within us. Back then only the Jews could be saved. Now even the gentiles can be saved making it where we all can be saved.

So all of our sins that we have committed that make us worthy of death Jesus endured for us out of love for us all. The punishment for the sins is still in effect. But Jesus took our place so that we wouldn't have to suffer. Jesus was the fulfillment of the Old Covenant. It wasn't by his life that the New Covenant was ushered in but by his death and the spilling of Jesus' blood.

Let me tell you it's not a good feeling looking around and seeing so many kids at church with their families and I know that mine didn't care enough to go. One day I broke down and started crying cause of the fact that I was the only one in my family that was at church....and I was 18 years old.

My parents seperated when I was 13. I came from a broken home but God accepted me into his extended family. I even had a time where I was being tormented by a demon. But I had faith in God and I reached for the bible and held it close to my chest and slept with it on my chest the entire night.

The devil delights in keeping people from knowing God but is extatic when he leads a Christian away from God. Going to church when your a kid doesn't automatically mean you'll be a Christian when you grow up. The problem was that suddenly there were many suicides by people whose character died in the game. Mainstream churches pegged it as demonic influence due to the spell casting.
