what are a bunch of celebates doing telling people how to live their sex-lives? The R.C.CORPORATE-Clergy is totally out of touch with the laity. And as for quoting the Bible if these Bishops quoted Jesus on the feeding of the poor as the litmus-test for getting into heaven(Matt25:42-46)...very few people would get into heaven. Its pretty amazing that a sex-less clergy obsessives so much about other-peoples sex-lives & has a house-keeper & a cook & says they're "POOR"
Every piece of scholarly work points to the fact the founding fathers wanted religion out of the government political process. There was to be no favored religion for our country.
Please provide me with facts to back your claim that the found fathers wanted something closer to what the Catholic Church is doing now, writing their dogma into our Constitution. Franklin and Jefferson are both rolling in their graves.
Will you stop using biblical chapter and verse. Many Jews especially find your use of scriptures disrepectful. Not to mention Christians who do not interrept your quoted text the same way.
The founders of America warned that we never favor one religion over another. So please out of respect of our American Fathers stop using your Catholic Dogma to circumvent this discussion.
I rather not make this debate about Christ or his teachings. I respect my Christian brothers and sisters but I also respect other religious points of view on the matter.
We must remember this is about Civil Marriage not Catholic Marriage.
Yes, yes, I agree. I guess that is really an irrelevant question to ask. I think the 2 people in the interview here missed the point. No one's asking to go into the Catholic Church and get married...
It should be made clear that when people donate, the money might go to the poor, but it might go to stop civil rights for unpopular groups. And the AB was wrong, Jesus never said anything about gay marriage nor did he define marriage. Jesus DID however say to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the imprisoned, welcome the stranger, love our enemies, all that stuff. Maybe we should do what He actually said, not stuff that we think he should have said.

@stlvideo08 Yes! This is about Civil Marriage which should be decided by the lawmakers not the Clergy.
