i got my retainer that you have to wear all day and night, those people who one of them dont worry your lisp will go away when you talk (lisp is when you add kind of like 's to the end of your words) and i know its hard eating because the retainer covers the top of your mouth but soon you will be able to swallow normally i could swallow normaly on the first day it got mine

i hav a permanet retainer on the bottom and it SUCKS and i have one on the top and you will have a lisp for a while thats what everybody has when they get theirs. don't worry it will go away :). tip-read aloud and it will go away quicker :D

you need to wear your retainer or your teeth will go back to the way the were at your next appointment ask him/her if he can put a fixed retainer in it is just a little metal wire they glue to the back of your teeth and then you dont have to worry about wearing it or loosing it for that fact
