Well something is bothers me with this game well as you know there will be playable jedis and siths but other classes aswell but something i dont get is why put more classes who wont pick the jedis or siths think about it they have the force they have lightsabers they are stronger than anyone so can anyone tell me where is the logic there. I doubt they will beat WOW. The Sci-Fi genre in the MMO market is more of niche genre (EVE Online) with fantasy being the majority. WOW, AOC, and WAR are fantasy games. I think this game will be sucessful because Sci-Fi fans are dieng for a MMO. This may possibly take some Starcraft fans anyway from blizzard. I will defiantly purchase this game. WOW has monopoly over the fantasy market. Any one else notice that a lot of Sci fi mmo are coming soon? (Star Trek ,Kotor,and Mechscape).

I agree. Until developers finally realise that mmo quests should be made by the guilds the player is in or by the community in general to be done once with a few friends. MMO's will have to stay like that.
well supposedly everyone has a personal story that is affected by what they do in the past so you might be a jedi, and finish your story and then help ur friend whose also a jedi but some of his quests are gonna be different (idk for sure i'm just guessing based on what i've read)
This might beat WoW actually, I know it's been said about Age of Conan etc, but those games sucked, lets face it. Just think how big this world is. We aren't grounded to one planet, there is an entire universe out there to explore. I'll wait for the first actual gameplay footages, then decide to leave WoW or not. BLizzard is a good company, but this mmo has all the things an MMO needs, WOw and the rest are just clones of each other, Warcarft is a Tolkien rip off anyway, The lich king looks exactly like the witch king, Wrath of the lich king rise of the witch king
Those other mmos are all based on the same orcs vs humans magic and swords fantasy, star wars offers a different perspective and more importantly story driven character development and a star wars "feel"
Dont even ask for a release date i dont think its going to come out in 09. Bioware said themselvs that this is there most story driven mmo they are ever going to make and i want them to add as much content as possible

Hey all I forgot to mention something else that I find not to be good. In the interview they say that group members can leave if you turn them against you. I have not played many MMO's so feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but aren't they single player games in terms of you controlling one person you. So if this is right then "KOTOR III" would not have band of characters following you which was part of the core aspect of KOTOR I and II and big reason it was fun and had good replay value.

I would be willing to pay 30 quid a month to play a game developed by bioware,they made so much great game like mass effect wich is an absolute sucess.I am confident in what they are gonna shape this in a unique mmo.
It started out good but went downhill when Lucas Arts thought it didn't have enough subscribers, it was a sandbox mmo with player driven economy and crafting.
You could loot weapons, but the really good ones were crafted by players. Kotor will just be like WoW, your a superhero going around and questing alone maybe do a few instances or so. Like singleplayer game, but with a monthly fee.
Im so dissapointed that they decided to make this game, personally i think answering everyones questions about revan and the exile and the true sith wud in KOTOR 3 would have been a better option. Why have two good games and a god awful one tht you probly have to pay for monthly rather than having an epic trilogy of games that everyone will love and remember, theyre so damn STOOOOOPID!

BLizzard is a good company, but this mmo has all the things an MMO needs, WOw and the rest are just clones of each other, Warcarft is a Tolkien rip off anyway, The lich king looks exactly like the witch king, Wrath of the lich king rise of the witch king
Those other mmos are all based on the same orcs vs humans magic and swords fantasy, star wars offers a different perspective and more importantly story driven character development and a star wars "feel"

Dont even ask for a release date i dont think its going to come out in 09. Bioware said themselvs that this is there most story driven mmo they are ever going to make and i want them to add as much content as possible

Hey all I forgot to mention something else that I find not to be good. In the interview they say that group members can leave if you turn them against you. I have not played many MMO's so feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but aren't they single player games in terms of you controlling one person you. So if this is right then "KOTOR III" would not have band of characters following you which was part of the core aspect of KOTOR I and II and big reason it was fun and had good replay value.

If you aren't willing to pay monthly for a Bioware mad Star Wars mmo set in the old republic, then you cannot call yourself a Star Wars fan.
I have complete faith in Bioware on this one. They saw what happened to SWG, I doubt they'd let it happen again.
Also, the Revan stuff isn't meant to be answered, it keeps you wanting more.
Personally I'd much rather like to see them explore some of the Vong arc.

It started out good but went downhill when Lucas Arts thought it didn't have enough subscribers, it was a sandbox mmo with player driven economy and crafting.
You could loot weapons, but the really good ones were crafted by players. Kotor will just be like WoW, your a superhero going around and questing alone maybe do a few instances or so. Like singleplayer game, but with a monthly fee.

Im so dissapointed that they decided to make this game, personally i think answering everyones questions about revan and the exile and the true sith wud in KOTOR 3 would have been a better option. Why have two good games and a god awful one tht you probly have to pay for monthly rather than having an epic trilogy of games that everyone will love and remember, theyre so damn STOOOOOPID!
