This is what producers today don't understand or seem to have forgotten about House music. It isn't about putting as many synths as you can, or finding some obscure sample, or remixing the latest Pop hit. It's always been about an 808/909 drum kick, clap, hihat. a funk bassline, a catchy riff, and a great vocal. pure, simple, that's House!

Entertaining video I must say. As for the song it is sorta boring because I feel like it needs a house beat to go with it or some other change up. I don't enjoy the vocals & they're repetitive in the worst way. I'd like this more if it were instrumental.

what a complete dissapoint. i absolutely LOVED the debut but this song is painfully boring. this sounds like it was lifted DIRECTLY out of the early 1990's, in the worst way possible. i can't believe this band would totally 180 from new and fresh sounding to dull dull dull. and a side note, the worst part is that fucking TR909. there is nothing i hate more than a completely 1 dimensional beat, especially from a goddamn 909.

@youalwaystubin house influenced? definitely. but does it literally sound like a song written two decades ago? hell no. the debut clearly showed an interest and inspiration from house music, but it still sounded modern. this song just feels like they are working backwards. i also think it's hilarious you used 'You Belong' as an example because that song is a fucking banger, especially compared to this totally transparent song.

Great video !!!!! Loved the advertising/intermission. The song's a bit mute-maybe they'll have the time to refurbish it a bit before the release. It would be worth it because the video is so authentic looking- the composition of the song can really support the visuals. The song would benefit from more texture for sure.
