Really, ffx2me? I thought FFX's characters were terribly manufactured and 'forced'. I found it hard to believe such wildly contrasting characters could have realistically met like that.

By contrast, FF9's characters were moderate but distinct and seemed to just naturally seem together as a party. 'Manufactured' characters (FFX, probably FFXIII) are so forced and cheesy compared to that

There ARE two versions of FFX Intl: Japanese and Asia/Pacific. Only the API version comes with English subs, but they're probably just the English script, not an actual (and therefore accurate) translation. I wasn't saying I doubted what you had exists; I know it does, I'm just saying it's NOT the Japanese version.

um it is chose english text with eng voice overs of jap text with jap voiceovers. i dont think u can switch after that. It is the EXACT SAME as the japanese version except it is hte version for all of Asia.

Um, in FFX International, you can get English audio with Japanese subs, and in the original FFX, you can get Japanese audio with Japanese subs. That's all. If you get the English FFX, you don't even get this scene; it was only released on the PS magazine disc, from what I heard. Even then, it was Eng audio with Eng subs only, and the video with Tidus/Shuyin was different. A lot gets edited before it gets released in English countries.

English is a universal language. and like i did say before: int offers Eng audio with Eng text; and Jap audio with Jap text. You definitely don't have the Japanese version of FFX Intl., then, because none of the J-versions of Intl. FFs come with English subs. Was it released in Europe/Aus, I wonder? It's always Japanese subs with English audio, though for bonus scenes like these, it's Japanese audio and Japanese subs. The only reason why there are English subs in this is because someone fansubbed the Japanese version. As I said before, there is *NO* Jap aud with Eng sub ver. of the game anywhere. Eng aud/sub, sure.

I have the Asia version of Intl. there is no Japanese version of Intl. The Intl and the FFX (ntsc=j) versions are both the exact same (save for the audio and what not.). One is for all of Asia though and therefore would most likely have english subtitles with english audio. You may have the UnDub version of Intl. meaning your is one of the patched, chopped and screwed versions - basically a copy with hte Eng sub torn out and hte Jap audio placed in.

Er, yeah there is. I've played it. Besides, like you said for Eng. being an intl lang, why assume that the J ver, with J subs etc, would be released across Asia? Not everyone would understand the subs or menus. In the J version, there are no Eng subs with J aud. Maybe there's a setting to turn on/off subs for the country with the Eng aud, and various lang options for 'on.' But bc you're stuck with the Eng aud, usually it's only the subs you can change. There is no undub game that's legal!

No FFX was played out fully. In my opinion and the opinions of alot of people who were disappointed in X-2. FFX-2 shouldn't have existed. Their is a reason their were no video game sequels to a FF game. FFX had a good strong ending and a movie and the sequel seriously messed it up. It takes away from the orginal ending because u wouldn't have known exactly what happened to Yuna and the rest of them. Only that she lived, and it gives you that type of hope that everything was ok, but its gone now.

Its funny how Rikku says Yuna (in Jap and subtitles) and it shows Yunie in the english sub. Also I think they used Tidus's 3d mesh in FFX2 for Shuyin for less time and space.

Nope, that's Shuyin. Shuyin's colours are similar to Tidus, but some parts are different, slightly less colourful and bluer.

Haha, so they completely ignore the fact that Rikku's hair has to grow like a foot, and Yuna's hair is also completely different... I did like the flashback on Tidus's voice. It's so much hotter in Japanese. The english voice of Tidus gets too whiny sometimes.

Nah, he definitely had an effeminate voice, very lilting and soft. It made him creepier, imo (not that he sounded effeminate, just the WAY that he sounded...if that makes any sense).

i dont think it was very creepy, it was immature and undevoleped, he always sounded like an excited young teenager. but later in the game he sounds much more mature, thus showing how he matures from the beginning of the game to the end
