Wrong. Alex is lead when not singing because Jack's expected to move around more, since he's not tied to a mic. Alex isn't expected to move around as much since he's the frontman and vocalist, therefore needing to stay near his mic.

Jack gets all the simple parts he can get so he can just party like a motherfucker on stage whenever possible.

@kennyquick3 and the others discussing the leadplaying duties: I think neither of them are technically trained lead players. Jack is playing most of the melodic leadlines when Alex is singing and Alex plays a couple of lead bits in a few songs... A bit like Fall Out Boy where Joe did most of the leadlines and Pat would occasionally rip out a solo when needed.... I actually think Patrick Stump is a bit underrated as a guitarplayer

@holyshiteater well...patrick stump actually was a drummer...but when he joined fall out boy they liked more his singing and he started to sing, and the other guitar player leave the band so he learned how to play guitar just for fall out boy

@1SoulDiego Patrick did start as a drummer in FOB, but he allready played guitar at home. His dad was a folk singer and they always had a guitar laying around when he was little. Eventhough I don't think Patrick actually sat down to learn his chords and scales, it was more just for fun. So when their old guitarplayer left Patrick was like "screw it, I'll play" Their old guitar player plays in The Acadamy Is... it's Mike. Just a random fact :P

@holyshiteater Truee, and it was also because mike lived in barrington, where The Acadamy Is, is from and they lived in wilmette which cause a distance problem. I live in barrington and one of my friends older brothers played football in highschool with one of the band mates. :D

@andrewroxman Oh ok, I didn't know about them being from different towns or whatever. The article I read about it quoted Mike about how Pete used to live around the corner and how they're are pretty much buddies and stuff like that.

i think they are doing it to be more excepted nto the music insudtry, they have to be accepted first and get air time on the radio. then when people know who they are and respect them...then they can go back to the music they like to do.. ;)

bands don't necessarily sell out, they just become more popular, and because their sound changes, people think they're changing to gain more fans. maybe they just wanted to try something new!

Seeing them live is incredible. If your a hardcore fan or not, seeing them live is something else. They've definitely proven themselves as a band who can play live.

it's not selling out if they're getting famous.

it's selling out if they write songs certain ways JUST to get famous.

just because they're taste and maturity level has changed doesn't mean that they're selling out.

they're still playing for the love of music.

and if you don't like they're new stuff, deal with it.

just don't listen to it.

but i don't think they're doing it to get famous, i think they're doing it because their taste in music is changing, which is normal.

they started this band in high school, now they're all in their early twenties. don't try to tell me that you're not going to change at all between those two times.

i like both all time low then, and all time low now.

i will also, most likely, still like all time low in the future.

Haha, I think all bands have those Albums where it's no where as great as their previous ones. Which goes for All Time Low. But that's okay, because we ALL know that they're going to make the next one amazing.

the music they make now is the definition of selling out. they changed their entire sound in their quest to be top 40 radio. its not all time low anymore. the only thing they kept intact was their immaturity.

what are u talkin about? the new stuff is not sappose to sound like their old stuff if it did it wouldnt be NEW it would be exactly like the old stuff... its GOOD that they have a NEW sound and they have not sold out.... selling out has nothing to do with the sound of their music... ok? im not saying they wont sell out.. they are heading down that road, but right now im telling you they havent yet

they havent sold out yet but their music is not new in the slightest. it the epitomy of pop. it sounds like every other popular band. just because a band makes new music doesnt mean it has to be a whole different genre.
