  • first of all you have really pretty eyes. I liked your list but I'm a sucker for starches and beans. The only thing I would add is curried potatoes and black beans as a substitution for the meat.

  • why are humans the only mamals that drink milk after infanthood? as adults we dont need milk anymore and milk has been linked to all sorts of diseases and illnesses. the whole milk gives you calcium is very untrue, and its just and excuse so we can muy more milk and make the milk industry rich. all we needs is lots of fruits and veggies and water.

  • @babydoll02134 humans are also the only mammals who eat fruits, vegetables, meat, etc to have a well balanced diet. Milk does have calcium but you need to take vitamin D with it for it to get absorbed. If you think about it, fruits and veggies are also coming from large farms where they are getting richer. Milk that is completely unprocessed carry diseases and illnesses. But that's my opinion and you have yours :)

  • @babydoll02134 you actually need protein to avoid wasting, and also fat to make hormones. theres a reason we have incisors and thats because early humans ate meat. they even made their own tools to kill animals. as for lactation, mammalian species can lactate as long as there is stimulation from the birth. thats why some women can breast feed for a few years.

  • raw almonds are a great snack that will keep you full also. I keep some in my purse all the time in a little ziplock bag

  • I don't eat red meat (except once a month), I eat potatoe skins for low carb protein. Do you drink 100% cranberry juice? It is actually very healthy and detoxing for your body (especially for females). I don't eat too much crab or lobster, because it actually has a lot of cholesterol (or however you spell it). The acai berry is great for the digestive track and for that bloating feel. I eat tones of white meat like chicken and fish, raw veggies and fruite, but nothing with acid.

  • For breakfast I usually eat a bowl of Special K with skim milk. Lunch is always a sandwich with some type of low fat meat like sliced turkey breast, roast beef, pastrami, or chicken breast on whole grain wheat bread. I put a lot of veggies on my sandwiches like spinach, tomatoes, red onions, banana peppers, and sliced bell pepper. I also put spicy mustard, which is very low in fat and cheese. My meats and cheese are always fresh from the local deli.

  • what I do in the morning I make a shake cuz Im always rushing! so what I do is I put 1 banana, half of an apple and milk NO SUGAR.... and smtimes I mix a lil bit of oats in it 2 it tastes great and it holds me over till lunch! 4 snacks I usually buy almonds, they are good for ,it lowers ur cholesterol, I also get avocados LOVE avocados in my sandwiches and in my salads! I also get limes, cucumbers,tomatoes cuz I can make a salad with all that. Im trying 2 eat healthy its not easy bt u can do it

  • some fruits that i get often are blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, and pomegranates are in season now...

    and veggies i get cauliflower, broccoli, and beets(yes beets they are awesome they just have a strong color to them)..... put these veggies in a steam baggie with a carrot, all chopped of course add a little seasoning of ur choice and zap in the microwave...

    have you tried eggplants before?....im starting to try it this week :D

  • I just got back into eating healthier then normal. I watch what I eat now. For breakfasts I have a homemade protien shake /w/ friut or spinach and apples and an egg. I have my shakes and eggs 3 times a week. I have only been doing this for a few weeks and I have already noticed a difference. Also, I add some flax seed to my protien shakes.

  • You know that milk, and milk products is not good if your are not working out... a lot! I know that there is a lot of calcium in it, but you can exchange it with vitamins/calcium pills... And eat a lot of carrots and broccoli :-)

    Maybe you already know, but maybe you subs doesn't ;-) It's just because I've been reading alot about that, and human beings are not ment to drink milk over there baby-age!

  • I love fruits and veggies but my boyfriend only eats pizza and bread and things with a lot of carbs and fat so that's what I end up eating! This motivates me to go out and buy what I want to buy.

  • if there is an asian supermarket in your area and close to you/you don't mind driving there, everything is usually cheaper (but don't get milk).

  • @crena23 Yes i eat meat everyday usually at lunch in a sandwich and that would be turkey breast or chicken breast, I rarely eat yogurt since i drink a lot of milk.
