@carlozmrc We are tossing the idea around. The issue here is gas just can't be beat for it's energy density and so that's a LOT of battery weight to add to the chassis. It's so well behaved now and with just a few hundred bucks it could be insane, still on gas. Electric has it's place...

@rcnightmare I would think that an electric conversion would be incredibly simple. Castle Creations has the complete kit for the HPI 1/5th scale stuff, and the Losi uses the same size engine. It would just be a matter of getting a mounting plate worked out. . .

The HPI vehicles absolutely scream with that conversion, to the point that they completely out perform the gasoline engine. The run time is quite a bit less - maybe 15 minutes on a pair of 4s 5000mAh LiPo batteries.

It reminds me of a SCTE but gas and large!!! Awesome... You got to make a review on this. And do you have to break in a Gas engine? When we got a weed wacker engine it started up first pull and no need to break it in.
