I can see for kilometers and kilometers and kilometers and kilometers and kilometers and kilometers and kilometers and kilometers and kilometers and kilometers and kilometers and kilometers and kilometers.
Can somebody send me a live version of this song, I just can't find it and the who's live performances are always even better than the studio recordings.
@azerty7889 they didn't perform this live much because the vocals were too hard to work out live, but there's an ok live version from 89 that's much cleaner (personally i think its too clean for the song) off greatest hits live
@vinidias015 Oh yeah, check out Utube Yardbirds, Daved and Confussed (check the dates) Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, even Erik Clapton (early 60's)! They did it w/ Page, then of course Zepplin.
This was considered loud and pretty heavy metal? (if there was a genre like that back then) Helter Skelter compared to this song in loudness and such and stuff...wow Paul you outdid yourself in trying to be louder then this song hahaha.
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and oh shit there's a fly in my eye!!!!!!!!!!
its amazing that The Who was still not crazy popular when this song came out and all the band members thought this song would make their careers, but wen it did come out, no one really liked it, it wasnt recognized as a great song until much later
I wouldn´t really say Helter Skelter was better in any ways. Not that I don´t think The Beatles are great, but it seems to me, that Paul didn´t really understand what made this song heavy or noisy. Besides, even after Helter Skelter, I Can See For Miles was still considered the most noisy song.
After Paul read a review of this song, saying that it was the heaviest song that the reviewer ever heard, he went out and wrote Helter Skelter to make an even heavier song.
Imagine if they used the Metric system.

You have to read it as you listen, but the song fits perfectly with "The Big Brag" from Dr Suess' YERTLE THE TURTLE.
That clever little worm puts everyone in their place, thanks to his amazing eyes.
It helps if you're a child of the '60s and have read it to your kids -- oh just check it out!

What are you talking about? This song is pretty heavy, and that's not even considering how heavy it was back in the 60's.

@FreddyGuy925 Yeah, but have you ever heard Purple Haze or even their My Generation? it wasn't that heavy back then
Luxmaxnike 3 months ago
@Luxmaxnike
Yes, I have heard both "Purple Haze" and "My Generation". This song isn't as heavy as those, but it still is heavy for "60's Standards".

Helter Skelter iisn't that heavie though, anyway you need 10.000 bloody Macca for just 1 Townshend
