Actually, I believe he is referring to something he said about Tom in an earlier interview...that Tom is the King of Sexual inuendo. He said Tom always has the dirtiest jokes. I believe that is what he was referring to Tom being nastier than you would think because when he plays Clark he is always seeming to be so "pure".

I think he is saying that Tom is meaner (nasty) than Clark, which most people are and that he is smarter than Clark Kent... watching the show for so many years, it is easy for someone to be SMARTER than SV's portrayal of Clark Kent - geez, they write him as such a moron that can't get out of trouble or think for himself... without Chloe! Hopefully, they will let him be a man, The Man, in Season 10 :) Go Tom!!  James is just precious - like a natural resource LOL so funny and insightful xoxoxo

Marsters is The Man, always says exactly what is on his mind. Tom had some of his best performances with him, especially the Bizarro stuff and the 150th episode Apocalypse.
