Not trying to bash but how does your miata only have 370HP? LS1 miata's typically are around 390 and the LS3 has a bit more power.

@JULESRULES9969 The application says nothing about the engine, the LS3 wasnt "made" for SUV's. In fact an engine from a truck/suv would probably have more torque because of heavier vehicle. And the LS1 isnt anymore "Sportcar" than the LS3. The engines performance largly relys on it's settup and tune, not what car it was in before.

Here is the thing I don't understand why would you take that engine out of a corvette and put it on a shity mx-5. Why wouldn't keep the ls3 and drive the vette instead?

@awsomecrazydude From your Neanderthal way of thinking, you have to be 14, or have little to no knowledge of physics or automobiles. FIrst off a big motor in a little car=ridiculousness. Have you heard of an AC Cobra before? Second, what does the ZR1 have anything to do with this? This is an LS3 motor, not from the ZR1. Lastly, this cost him around $12K to make RUNNING, a ZR1 or anything else that can keep up with this on a track isn't ANYWHERE near that price range. You need to educate boy.

@awsomecrazydude did you know they are car actions that you can buy wreaked cars and trucks under 800 bucks if you hit it at the right time im building a s2k atm with same motor got the st2k 300 bucks not wreaked it was a stolen car and was striped gotta a vett 1000 hit in the back and slide and hit what looked like a small tree or telephone pole plus wire kit and modified brackets cost 2000 - 3000 bucks for a rice killer

370 is rather low for an LS3 unless it was at the wheels...

What was the 2500? not the weight surely? man I thought that LS3 was fairly light for a V8?
