Is the game Great Giana Sisters available in the US? Could you make me a copy and send it to me? I really want to play it, but I can't afford a PAL C64 from the UK yet.
@thedarkdragon735 That's cool, his videos are actually really good, I just find that a lot of people who watch his videos don't know about retro games.
@adric22 He's quoting Angry Video Game Nerd's review of Ghostbusters. See from 2:27, "GHOSTBUSTERS Nes Review - Angry Video Game Nerd AVGN" on YouTube.
I believe what you have to do in that final Mission Impossible room is to match the squares. They showed you three, and you need to click them again, in the same order.
That room gets you (alternating) free snoozes and lift inits...
There is a room with a thing you cant search, when you get all the puzzles completed (in the elevator area there are puzzle pieces in groups of 4 you need to put together) you can open that door.
@adric22 You have to play the squares back in order of ascending tone, i.e. lowest note to highest note. Each time you do, you get a power-up (alternates between lift reset and robot sleeper, if I recall).
@adric22 You need to play the notes back going from either highest to lowest or lowest to highest (I can't remember which). After doing so, the board will reset. If you use it again, then you can do it again, but with an added not. It gets rather challenging after 5 or so notes. Each one you get right will give you an extra robot sleep or elevator reset - I think it alternates between the two.
@adric22 I just read about it this week: You have to click the boxes in order from lowest to highest PITCH. Then you get a Lift Reset or Snooze pass! When I have time I'll try it.
Also, I disliked Ghost n Goblins for the C64 mostly because it has half the levels gone, plus they added this new music, when I wanted the music from the arcade version.
Good job! Jumpman is still one of my favorite C64 games. BTW, to get into the truck in Spy Hunter, pull over to the side of the road and the truck will stop, allowing you to drive into the back. Also, the checkerboard room in Impossible Mission is a "Simon Says" type of game. You need to repeat the button sequence correctly to win.
You could instananeously set the SID chip to output whatever you wanted, if you changed it fast enough you could play a wave type file just like today's pc's do (and that is basically all they do but with lots of processor power to help it along) but you will notice that most games that do that are ONLY doing the voice at the time.
The VIC chip was quite astounding. When you listen to COMMANDO...it is amazing the sounds they could get other machines to do at the time was BEEP.
Ghostbusters was a great game, but we could never get past the SPMM at the end to complete the game. Impossible Mission was also fun (especially with the voice), but so hard it was...well...impossible.

the prob with these computers is that they weren't mobile. Moving them to the bigger tv to play with friends would have been better.
i remember trying to copy all these games from friends.

FYI Each time you complete a tune in the 'music rooms' you will get elevator or robot passkey.

@adric22 The vastly overrated Angry Video Game Nerd. He reviewed the NES version of Ghostbusters, which was really bad. The C64 version rocked.

Wel,l i figued that part. But then all it does is reset the board. I'm not sure how it affects the overall game.

NO! NO! NO! --- Mission Accomplished, congratulations!
Great game, one that NEEDS to make it to VC in North America!

The Atari 800XL could only wish to be like C64.
C64 was the king of 8bit computers.
Also, I disliked Ghost n Goblins for the C64 mostly because it has half the levels gone, plus they added this new music, when I wanted the music from the arcade version.
It was a disappointment.

this is how videos should be made for youtube...with plenty of narration. I hate videos that show stuff like a music video with no narration.
