I was a Long Distance listener to AM 1000- used to listen to the Re-Broadcast every night- Steve And Garry were BRILLIANT! I knew they had a falling out, but I have lost touch- I hope the Ill will between then is gone now
I always loved the overnight re-broadcast, it was great if you missed a show or were out of town (AM 1000 still works quite well around most of the US at night!)
And yes, Steve and Garry did mend fences, though never reunited as partners. There is audio here on the channel from the impromptu 'reunion' show shortly before Garry joined WCKG, the station Steve was already on in the afternoons. Check it out, a great (and hilarious) reunion show with Garry, and even Cliff!
Garry is currently on 720 AM WGN (how times change! Garry is currently on the same afternoon shift as Wally was on WGN 25 years ago!) and you can listen archived and online @ WGNradio-com; Steve podcasts his show 5 days a week @ Dahl-com / podcasts and Dahl-com / iTunes and is off air until this coming July (2011) when his contract expires with CBS. I haven't heard what station he'll be on but I know that he vows to continue podcasting it as well. Check it out @ Dahl-com!
Thank you for the Info- Will certainly have to check that out- They got me through some real rough spots in life with all of the great humor
