@soundsofsil3nce no I havent been back since making this. Ive seen other 'summer skiing' vids where its just two strips of these rounded spikes, recessed into green outdoor carpet. This original way of just the white carpets seemed better since you could fall. Do they have the strips now or is it the same ramps just covered in the plastic?

@mxc275 glide ontop. Its sort of like a white version of that green outdoor carpet. the point [i believe] is to get as much speed as possible, go off the ramp, practice trick, land in water, repeat.

@DevilsFan751 its to break the water tension so your landing isnt so rough. with out and at the speeds some of the people are going it can really hurt to hit the water. I saw some people go down the ramp and the dude working the bubbles hit the wrong ramp area and they def sat out a couple rounds after hitting the somewhat still water surface.

@markkikarkki safety first! Also you can get terrrrrible rug burn if you fall down on this thing going full speed. Its just made of wood and carpeting so if you fell face first on wood the helmet might help.

i did it through my ski team. we drove there from california so i bet it would cost more if you had to fly, but i think its only like $10 a day if you have all the equipment. it costs a bunch more to rent, i think it was like $500 for the whole week with meals/lodging
