  • is it just me or is she hot?

  • If only Lady GagGag would strap on a Rick and stat gazin' at her shoes .... then, maybe then, I'd give a shit about anything she has to say ....!

  • What! This is one of the most amazing "Lush" songs, ever! Don't ever sell it short.

  • My favorite Lush video. The final minute always gives me goosebumps, thanks in part to Emma's DigiTech Whammy WH-1, which she says was responsible for the "swooshy bit at the end," and the cool decision on the director's part to switch to the color video portraits of each of the band members. Super cool.

  • superband

  • i love the video and the song !

  • man i studied music for a long time and their chords are just SICK! (in a good way) they are flat.... ON PURPOSE! i don't know who wrote their music, but that person was insane. "now you're going to sing a tri-tone above, then half-way through the measure drop down a half-step to resolve." ru-diculious. i wish more bands listened to this music for inspiration. this is creativity!

  • @jbrockviddude Who wrote their music ? Guess who ? They did it themselves, i.e. Emma and Miki (Emma for this song), mostly separately, or together in a couple of cases : Emma writing the music and Miki the lyrics.

  • @jbrockviddude

God stuffed a great deal of talent into these little ladys

  • @jbrockviddude Incredible, isn't it? Bands may play like this, but no exposure! That's why it was good when Foo Fighters won the Grammy for Band of the Year, and dude said "this is for the real bands playing real music" or something like that...yeah...

  • the sound is very similar to Veruca Salt

  • See? you fucking whores from today's music industry , these 2 girls look so beautiful and sing even more beautiful without being dressed and act like total sluts.

  • This is HQ???? .-)

  • love every song on that album

  • mtv sucked back then too. mtv was only good for 2 hours at night on sundays.

  • Yes - MTV 120 Minutes, best ever

  • this is aweasome

  • Too GOOD!!

  • awesome sound

  • just remember...loved Lush...but she killed her voice with cigs

  • What a moment!!! I was at the Great American Music Hall in SF and I will never forget it. It was the drummer's birthday. Mickie sang in an impossibly tight mini skirt (more like a tennis skirt). Then she had an Elvis Impersonator come on stage singing VIVA LAS VEGAS and the crowd went nuts!!! Then Elvis Herselvis came on. It was magic. Two weeks later the drummer killed himself and the band broke up. Micki wound up as a Music Research Assistant for a record company. She needs to come back!!!

  • @Armydicked Miki didn't wear a min skirt but a short blue shiny dress. I have the DVD of the full gig.

  • such a good band ..up there with slowdive, ride, my bloody valentine, and the likes ..the drummer killed himself and it split the band up.. sad

  • amazing. I was 1 year old when this was released, and I've only just discovered it!

  • @gigafruit Lots like it to discover! Keep searching; this was a good time in music.

  • The composition of sounds from the instruments in this song are a lot more complex then most recognize at first blush.

  • This is HQ?

  • Hey guys. I know rap mostly sucks NOW, but please, don't trash rap back in the early-mid ninties. Before you do, look up the album uptown saturday night by camp lo. Especially lucini. Also, look up the pharcyde, krs-one, and you GOTTA give it to public enemy. As far as Lush...If the band members ever read this PLEASE COME BACK!! You guys are awesome.

  • @AeonPhoenixZero Nothing to call a guilty pleasure. I listen to Wu Tang's 36 Chambers often, and love it. But I listen to this and I'm back in a better day and time.

  • sexy :-)

  • This makes me feel homesick for my youth

  • @Jffxdeejay560

    Me too, dude...

  • Good fucking times!!

  • i grew up with most of these bands. but i couldn't really appretiate them and cherish them until i got older. i was a 90's kid. i now have a car, a job, and a bright future. so listening to this band not only gives you a great sense of how amazing this band is, and how fantastic their songs are. i play this song with all their other songs in my 96' Grand Am GT. its like traveling to a different time each time i play a song from this band. what a fantastic group. love you guys!

  • @Lrules364

I heard this in a record store in 1992 and asked them who it was and bought the recording. this was never played on radio where i lived at the time unlike rap anf hags like mariah carey. bands have to be given airplay to succeed and become known

  • @The096757

it really is a shame that bands like these were never promoted the way everyone else was. in my honest opinion, lush and many other bands deserved way more air time then they got. the bands of the 90's were great in America, but nothing beats the shoegazing bands that really brought out the true potential in music. its just a shame all that trashy rap and hip hop gained ground before this. think of all the good music we could be listening to now instead of this trash today.

  • @The096757 i heard one of their songs maybe once at most on a local station as a kid. i never heard it again. not until i was about 6 or 7 did i find out who they were and what they sang. back then youtube never existed and everything had to be bought from the record store, of which not many went to as they chose to go to big shopping centers and get them. this band didnt get much airplay at all, and it was the loss of those that didnt know it existed.

  • @Lrules364

even 20 years ago it was nothing but hip hop hags and maybe madonna being seen or heard. the world of music would be a massive black hole without youtube or interent radio look how long it was before classic vh1 came about. there should have been a classic vh1 iin 1992 but it came out about 1999.

at one time the programmers at outlets like mtv could elevate or sink someone by playing them or not playing them.

  • @The096757 agreed. back when mtv and vh1 actually played music they could make or break a band depending on how well they presented them. it would have taken just one airing of this band to get some popularity, but it sadly never made it onto either station. they were both too busy with hip hop or rap to even care. hell, i've only seen maybe 1 or 2 other bands that were underrated make it into their lineup. they dont play music anymore. which is a shame.

  • This was the first song I heard from Lush. I then heard My Bloody Valentine, who basically changed my whole view on guitar power. A very special thank you, then, to the very sexy Emma Anderson and Miki Berenyi.

  • one of the few bands of this era that i really wanted to see live but missed. i remember they did a gig in new york and WEEZER was the opener, when weezer's first album was out. weird right? bummer, i screwed up!

  • Should have more views...........

  • why have I never heard of Lush... I lived in so. cali at the time and obsessed on new bands but I just found Lush a week ago. It's like they just came out to me Thank you 120 minutes (4:15 am) for giving me my new favorite band...about 20 years late but F*** there good

  • @mgknight13 glad you found them they deserve it

  • I wish I were Miki Berenyi's microphone!

  • My Bloody Valentine, Lush, Ride, Curve, Swervedriver.... I remember thinking back then that music MIGHT NOT suck for a while, but I was wrong. Where is ANYONE breaking ground sonically like this now?

  • Prbably my favourite Lush song...well it's between this and Laura.

  • Another completely fucking AWESOME song from a kick ass band from back in the day... My fave Lush song is "For Love" but this one just contains totally raw, pulsing energy... Shit I wish these guys would reunite!!!

  • a talented band, FUCK and die you faggot linking park and the fans, i hope all of you die with your mothers... i hate that band so much.... such no talent compared to this one...

  • Being the devoted 80s fan that I am, I let most of the music that came out in the 90s pass me by - Lush included. Shame on me.

  • This is GREAT! It even *sounds* like my knackered old cassette version! Found out a lot of interesting things involving girls to this album...

  • Such an underrated band.. This song flat out rips..Would love to see them live someday..

  • @35sixer Don't think you will somehow...

  • The vocals, the wash of guitars, that massive bass sound...I just surrender myself to this music.

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • MTV 120 Minutes....that was Music..not that fuck what MTV is sending today !

  • @rheumakai33 No man, the 90's alternative was amazing. MTV sucked even at this time. Just this music made mainstreem tv's less irritating, even they were.

  • What a smashing song! I adore this!!!

  • I seen this band a few times.Durring the infamous OJ police chase,I was at Pizzeria Uno in Allston,Ma and met Miki twice that night (once as she came up to the bar and then at the show).A line formed around the block at Bunratties in Allston as they were to play there in about an hour.Great show, and as some fans (like myself)hung around,Miki just came out to the floor and just started talking with us.I saw Miki do that also at the WBCN River Rave.I love Miki.Love to see this band again(I wish).

  • Road rash, acid, this song.

  • It's like the Voi Vod for the pop music!

  • Wow, thanks for posting this. Great video I somehow missed. Brings me back to seeing them several times in New England venues. Miss them both, but I really hope Emma starts a new project after Sing-Sing.

  • replay , replay , replay!

  • New and exciting!

  • I ♥ Lush...Miki Berenyi is so beautiful, one of the best bands of the 90s..I'm here in the States, although not so well known, clearly one of my fave bands!!

  • lush is one is one ofthe best band that came from uk in the 80's-90's.period

  • this is hard, listening to lush takes me back, way back to when i was a young man, somehow their sound has the ability to make me feel the way i did some 20 years ago now. it is a strange feeling but one i enjoy very much.

thank you for posting, and rip chris.

  • I'm in this video.

...in the crowd. manchester poly 1992.

  • @0tjn0 Me too. Somewhere at the front near Emma, almost went under the stage.....hell of a crush....

  • Shoegazer!!!!!

    Loved them all! Still do..

  • great music

  • oh these good old walls of heavenly noise...

  • wowwwwww.......neverending Shoegaze...Fast forward to Ethernity...

  • Emma's vocals are lowered a lot in this video

  • This is one of the first songs I can remember hearing on our college station. Twenty years ago. Got me hooked, immediately. Definitely one of my favs of all time.

It's funny, the things you remember, isn't it?

88.1 WRFL, by the way. Shout out to all the college and indie stations.

  • Sehr Gute

  • Great band.

  • And i agree with funkster007.

  • check out 3:19 when Chris Achland's head goes down and Emma Aanderson's head comes up. Awesome videography.

  • Hard to resist those choir-like vocals and the swirling key changes. Smooth and hypnotic.

  • God, this makes me so nostalgic for the 90s that I want to cry!

  • How is it of all these bands out of the UK during the 80's U2 is the one that attained the biggest level of fame and survived. They're terrible in comparison to bands like Lush, The Chameleons etc.

I suppose because while this was the revolution in the live music scene of the UK, we were having our grunge and metal take over of the airwaves.

  • excellent...reminds me of my mid-teens..I was such an indie kid then!

  • @bigd747: I love everything from miki :-)

  • I love how Miki looks up at 2:00

  • @bigd747 I like how she looks in the entire vid!!

  • This song is an example of "Ethereal Core" :D

  • I love their lush-ious lips open wide up on the microphones.

  • fucking sublime.

every time i hear them, i think of lush as a puddle of sunlight in a dark place...

  • I love this song!

  • You know what's cool? Bands like Lush who could change keys in mid-song. You know what's not cool? Worthless pop stars who need 25 dancers around them to distract people from how crappy their "music" is. No wonder shoegaze is starting to make a comeback -- people want to hear something besides a beat, a wail and the same note over and over.

  • @Anduril11623 - It's even more cool if you just let people like what they like. Personally, I don't want to live in a world where everyone thinks the same stuff is good. I like Lush. I don't really care if some 14-year-old girl doesn't. In fact, I don't even care what she listens to.

  • she is so HOT!!!!

  • Même son cristallin que Cocteau twins !!! Que du bonheur !!!!

  • BEST BAND EVER!!!!

  • Everyone was stoned back then and could get away with it....great ascending bridge. Now it sounds like sunshine pop from a hard-to-recall dream.

  • Great video !

    Thx for posting !!

  • one of my favorite cool bands of early 90's

  • I loved this song, still do. This is when alternative was still cool, pre-grunge.

  • would love to see them live... great band!

  • @GokAshcroft thats a preety asshole thing to say

  • @GokAshcroft Yeah, well go pop yours next, cock sucker.

  • Better than most stuff written today. Used to like Ride, Lush etc...all under-rated bands.

  • @nbp10000 so try the early 90s curve...

  • Emma Anderson. How I love her

  • audio is too hot

  • I have no idea where you got a version of this video of this quality, but I am totally favoriting this one to replace the old one that I have.

  • The audio sucks. The volume is going up and down. To get the best audio: upload in mp4/xvid/divx/quicktime format and choose within this format the WAV (uncompressed) audio format in the highest resolution

  • Lush is just great!
