I'm sick of these lame-ass nostalgia fiends always commenting on YouTube. I've had enough of your cultural eschatology. Society hasn't gotten worse, you've just gotten too old to understand it. Why don't you just step away from your computer, take a multi-vitamin, and cry alone in private? You are no longer relevant.
My favorite Lush video. The final minute always gives me goosebumps, thanks in part to Emma's DigiTech Whammy WH-1, which she says was responsible for the "swooshy bit at the end," and the cool decision on the director's part to switch to the color video portraits of each of the band members. Super cool.
man i studied music for a long time and their chords are just SICK! (in a good way) they are flat.... ON PURPOSE! i don't know who wrote their music, but that person was insane. "now you're going to sing a tri-tone above, then half-way through the measure drop down a half-step to resolve." ru-diculious. i wish more bands listened to this music for inspiration. this is creativity!
@jbrockviddude Who wrote their music ? Guess who ? They did it themselves, i.e. Emma and Miki (Emma for this song), mostly separately, or together in a couple of cases : Emma writing the music and Miki the lyrics.
@jbrockviddude Incredible, isn't it? Bands may play like this, but no exposure! That's why it was good when Foo Fighters won the Grammy for Band of the Year, and dude said "this is for the real bands playing real music" or something like that...yeah...
See? you fucking whores from today's music industry , these 2 girls look so beautiful and sing even more beautiful without being dressed and act like total sluts.
What a moment!!! I was at the Great American Music Hall in SF and I will never forget it. It was the drummer's birthday. Mickie sang in an impossibly tight mini skirt (more like a tennis skirt). Then she had an Elvis Impersonator come on stage singing VIVA LAS VEGAS and the crowd went nuts!!! Then Elvis Herselvis came on. It was magic. Two weeks later the drummer killed himself and the band broke up. Micki wound up as a Music Research Assistant for a record company. She needs to come back!!!
Hey guys. I know rap mostly sucks NOW, but please, don't trash rap back in the early-mid ninties. Before you do, look up the album uptown saturday night by camp lo. Especially lucini. Also, look up the pharcyde, krs-one, and you GOTTA give it to public enemy. As far as Lush...If the band members ever read this PLEASE COME BACK!! You guys are awesome.
@AeonPhoenixZero Nothing to call a guilty pleasure. I listen to Wu Tang's 36 Chambers often, and love it. But I listen to this and I'm back in a better day and time.
@alferius91 hahaha esta musica es genial te hace sentir sensaciones extrañas y sentimientos esto si que es musica yo igual conoci esta banda por "for love" y tambien llevo una semana XD
i grew up with most of these bands. but i couldn't really appretiate them and cherish them until i got older. i was a 90's kid. i now have a car, a job, and a bright future. so listening to this band not only gives you a great sense of how amazing this band is, and how fantastic their songs are. i play this song with all their other songs in my 96' Grand Am GT. its like traveling to a different time each time i play a song from this band. what a fantastic group. love you guys!
I heard this in a record store in 1992 and asked them who it was and bought the recording. this was never played on radio where i lived at the time unlike rap anf hags like mariah carey. bands have to be given airplay to succeed and become known
it really is a shame that bands like these were never promoted the way everyone else was. in my honest opinion, lush and many other bands deserved way more air time then they got. the bands of the 90's were great in America, but nothing beats the shoegazing bands that really brought out the true potential in music. its just a shame all that trashy rap and hip hop gained ground before this. think of all the good music we could be listening to now instead of this trash today.
@The096757 i heard one of their songs maybe once at most on a local station as a kid. i never heard it again. not until i was about 6 or 7 did i find out who they were and what they sang. back then youtube never existed and everything had to be bought from the record store, of which not many went to as they chose to go to big shopping centers and get them. this band didnt get much airplay at all, and it was the loss of those that didnt know it existed.
even 20 years ago it was nothing but hip hop hags and maybe madonna being seen or heard. the world of music would be a massive black hole without youtube or interent radio look how long it was before classic vh1 came about. there should have been a classic vh1 iin 1992 but it came out about 1999.
at one time the programmers at outlets like mtv could elevate or sink someone by playing them or not playing them.
@The096757 agreed. back when mtv and vh1 actually played music they could make or break a band depending on how well they presented them. it would have taken just one airing of this band to get some popularity, but it sadly never made it onto either station. they were both too busy with hip hop or rap to even care. hell, i've only seen maybe 1 or 2 other bands that were underrated make it into their lineup. they dont play music anymore. which is a shame.
This was the first song I heard from Lush. I then heard My Bloody Valentine, who basically changed my whole view on guitar power. A very special thank you, then, to the very sexy Emma Anderson and Miki Berenyi.
one of the few bands of this era that i really wanted to see live but missed. i remember they did a gig in new york and WEEZER was the opener, when weezer's first album was out. weird right? bummer, i screwed up!
why have I never heard of Lush... I lived in so. cali at the time and obsessed on new bands but I just found Lush a week ago. It's like they just came out to me Thank you 120 minutes (4:15 am) for giving me my new favorite band...about 20 years late but F*** there good
My Bloody Valentine, Lush, Ride, Curve, Swervedriver.... I remember thinking back then that music MIGHT NOT suck for a while, but I was wrong. Where is ANYONE breaking ground sonically like this now?
Another completely fucking AWESOME song from a kick ass band from back in the day... My fave Lush song is "For Love" but this one just contains totally raw, pulsing energy... Shit I wish these guys would reunite!!!
a talented band, FUCK and die you faggot linking park and the fans, i hope all of you die with your mothers... i hate that band so much.... such no talent compared to this one...
@rheumakai33 No man, the 90's alternative was amazing. MTV sucked even at this time. Just this music made mainstreem tv's less irritating, even they were.
I seen this band a few times.Durring the infamous OJ police chase,I was at Pizzeria Uno in Allston,Ma and met Miki twice that night (once as she came up to the bar and then at the show).A line formed around the block at Bunratties in Allston as they were to play there in about an hour.Great show, and as some fans (like myself)hung around,Miki just came out to the floor and just started talking with us.I saw Miki do that also at the WBCN River Rave.I love Miki.Love to see this band again(I wish).
Wow, thanks for posting this. Great video I somehow missed. Brings me back to seeing them several times in New England venues. Miss them both, but I really hope Emma starts a new project after Sing-Sing.
I ♥ Lush...Miki Berenyi is so beautiful, one of the best bands of the 90s..I'm here in the States, although not so well known, clearly one of my fave bands!!
this is hard, listening to lush takes me back, way back to when i was a young man, somehow their sound has the ability to make me feel the way i did some 20 years ago now. it is a strange feeling but one i enjoy very much.
This is one of the first songs I can remember hearing on our college station. Twenty years ago. Got me hooked, immediately. Definitely one of my favs of all time.

@Anduril11623 - It's even more cool if you just let people like what they like. Personally, I don't want to live in a world where everyone thinks the same stuff is good. I like Lush. I don't really care if some 14-year-old girl doesn't. In fact, I don't even care what she listens to.
The audio sucks. The volume is going up and down. To get the best audio: upload in mp4/xvid/divx/quicktime format and choose within this format the WAV (uncompressed) audio format in the highest resolution
