The other question that I have is whether or not some of the other cars have been proven to be faster than the Supercar. I know that the stats screen says this but I always used to play Time Trial with the Supercar myself as I thought that there was no noticeable difference between this and the other big-hitters yet this car had superior handling...

Am I right with this?

I got too the BURNOUT x WOW & on my profile, i see "burnout in chain" 1001.

So you can try this challenge & got your "x WOW".

Actually, i know only Stefan Mahral go too the "BUNROUT x WOW" without cheat.

With cheat as infinity boost, you can easily got 1500 or 12000 (for example)burnout but in the profile, it doesn't register, of course.

yeah, the Supercar really seems to be the best, 2nd best seems to be the Custom Roadster. And the other cars are only good for some crash zones, afaik.

Very, very impressive! My record for the Big Surf Shores is Burnout X 734 but I want a Burnout X WOW now also! In your profile does the game register your record as Burnout X WOW or does it count any Burnout beyond 1000? The reason I ask is because I want to make a full video with some nice quality and get it on here but I don't want to stop the car to a halt at Burnout X WOW if somebody is going to have more than me displayed on their profile!

Back in the day when Burnout 2 was still new I set the 727 record on XBL. I was in middle school at the time though and my dad came in and told me to go to bed. =x

Also, someone overwrote my save file, so I've yet to play through and unlock the roadster (<3) again.

i love drivin at high speeds through this track especially flat-out on the crossroads with a big burnout chain. it looks like 1,000,000 MPH. even though you aren't in the game drivin the car - you can feel the acceleration from inside your room . it feels like 1,000,000 MPH. the best track for a big chain is big surf shores and big surf grove as well as the reverse versions of the tracks.

Boost at the beginning of the race? Sounds like the infinite boost cheat. Look in the cheats menu, if you have already unlocked it. But I don't remember the exact way to get it.

The design (color) of your cars can only be changed in the X-Box version, not on GameCube. And doing tricks? Hmm, never heard of that. Just make a cool crash and your car maybe does some cool stunts^^

1'37 is a good time for this track. I think I drove around 1'39-1'40, because I had to drive safely.

And I got around 12-13 burnouts per lap. So 1000/12 = 83,3333

If it was the infinate boost cheat he wouldnt've gotten a burnout because the boost bar wouldnt go down. Its either Xploder or unlimited laps

Anyways I tried it now just to know what infinte boost exactly does and it doesn't count boosts it just says BOOST OK! so it's not infinite boost, but it doesn't mean he didn't use invulnerability. And WTF is Xploder?? He didn't have to use unlimited laps, cause it was time attack. (On top of that as far as I know there is no unlimited laps cheat, or I don't have it unlocked, but I'd say there is none)

No, I didn't use any cheats. And yeah, in time attack you can race unlimited laps, so just try to always fill your boost like I do in the vid. When you slide, jump, etc. like me, then your boost is always filled again.

So the hard thing is just to avoid crashes...

Which version did you use? The game exists for X-Box, PS2 and GameCube. The PS2 version was released first and didn't have the 30 crash zones. Maybe it also hadn't the "Burnout x WOW" included?

So did you use the PS2 version? This might be the reason, why it's not in there.

I only know 1 other person who did it. But also on GameCube (like me) and he also got the Burnout x WOW message.

But I never tried AT3 in time trial (with infinite laps). But it would be harder to get 999 in AT3. But in AT3 Reverse, there it's also relativly easy to get a good burnout chain.

Great score, but what you should of done was clocked the fastest lap/ghost from the start line down the right side lane along the beach and into the right side of the tunnel. That way your ghost would not be on screen, infront or just behind. :-P

Try bumper came aswell lol. I got over 300 on XBOXLiVE in bumper cam, some time later this guy from the USA got over 700. =)

I'd say yours is the highest known burnout chain so well done. :)

Nah, the nitro isn't the problem. It's relatively easy to drive around the course without loosing your burnout chain (nitro).

The only hard part is to not crash during the whole run (which takes ca. 2,5 hours).

So even with unlimited nitro, most people probably couldn't do that.

But I didn't used unlimited nitro.
