Shelties love to explore! Mine did, she ran away sometimes and we had to search for her, but she was soo happy to see us when we found her she came running to us!

Was just thinking of Shaman it is almost 4 years since he left me. Since that time Saunders, the border collie in the video, has crossed the rainbow bridge. I have been blessed with 2 more Sable and White Shelties. Tana is 2.5 and McGee is 16

Months. The same age as Shaman when he disappeared. Thanks Jenn for keeping this posted. I still watch it and I still miss him. I pray he is warm and safe.

gosh, that's sad. I agree with 19thcenturyqueen, someone close to your home has your dog. Blue merles are very much wanted and he is beautiful. I would walk everyday and listen for his voice. I pray you get him back. I can imagine how desolate you must feel.

I'm so sad to hear your story. I hate to say this, but someone must have taken your dog. I have herding dogs, they would never run away, it's not their nature. Look for Shaman close to home, maybe someone in your neighborhood took your sweetheart.

They live in Daytona, but, I'll try to contact them if they've seen a dog that looks like Shaman, - Oh, I almost shed a tear, poor, poor Shaman, I Love Shelties the most of ALL dogs, It's so bad and sad that they don't get to think clear, they just get out and get lost... I have to say I am heart broken for you, I know all to well of having a loved one disappear. I had collie for 13 years, still miss her, one day she got out and was missing for 3 days, I didnt sleep or go to work, I drove and walked all over the neighborhoods looking, on the 3rd day she happen to walk past a friends house and he called me, she never left my side after that until she passed away......I hope you have a happy ending someday too!

Nice but sad video. I Show, Breed and rescue Collies for Tri State Collie Rescue in Ohio. It's a sad and hard lesson to learn. Always Micro Chip your babies. I hope you will find your baby. Did you check all the rescues in the surrounding states. Most shelters will contact specific breed rescues when they find stray purebreds. Hope that helps.

This might sound crazy, but I just saw your feature on WESH 2 News, and earlier today I was at Petsmart in Viera, FL, about 40 mins. east of Orlando and saw an identical dog going in. I remember because I thought what a unique looking dog with such original features and colors and I hadn't seen one like that before. Anyways, probably just coincidence, but thought I would let you know. Good luck!
