A lot of teams could say that. In fact, all teams could say that. If we only give him the ball 18 times, he is not getting the chance to control the game. Give it to him 25 times and you'll see even better time of possession, better red zone production and longer passing yardage per attempt. Having Brett throw the ball 51 times is not the right ratio.

Did you ever consider that maybe they felt like they had to throw since they pretty much took Adrian Peterson out of the game? When the running attack is not working, it's not a good sign. The Vikings didn't not want to have to be continually put in a 2nd/3rd and long situations. Running with Peterson was not allowing them to do that so they felt the need to throw the ball a lot more than they should have.
