  • i really like the song what is it?

  • @Patarik22 tahiti paradisia by Fenua.I hope it's not too late^^

  • ok so i am maori myself and find that this is ok!

lol i probly would not teach it to any Tamariki but then in saing that, im verry pleasd to see that the efort was made to fuse the two! the Poi and the Hula,

come on....... we (maori ) use the gat! and im sure thats not maori and it is part of our songs! doesnt it make our Waiata sound better? Aroha nui, to our islander Whanau! go on we come from the islands its in our Pakiwaitara so dont be Nanakia whanau!

  • It says POI DANCE people. Many cultures in the pacific use the poi, where does it say it is exclusively a Maori thing only? Where do you think Maori got it from? Because we all come from the same place. The only ignorance here are the 'racist' comments.

  • whats the name of the song?

  • what a mockery to me! I am Maori- we do the poi; I am also rarotongan & tahitian- we do not d the poi, only the guys do a fire poi- but still, it's not called the poi.....

what a total mockery on me

  • This is awful!!! Shame on you for mixing your exposed bellies and tortuous understanding of culture. You lack the understanding of the beautiful Maori culture. SHAME ON YOU!!! YOUR IGNORANCE IS EVIDENT.

  • Ew wtf is this shit

  • soorryy.. this fails..

culture is culture.. yu cannot mix 2 because yu need to spice it up or something..

    thts a fkn disgrace

  • Hamburgers taste good.

    Icecream taste good.

Hamburgers+icecream at the same time is FUCKING AWFUL!

Same goes for hulahula and poi.

  • i do believe this is a tahitian song.. spinning poi to tahitian music? and what were you doing with your hipssss??

  • yeah didn't quite dig it either combining the two cultures, both elegant dancing just not together

  • trapnyyyyyyyyy

  • CAN U STICK TO UR OWN CULTURE

watta try mix hawian and maori together

delete this video its a disgrace tryna shake ur ass to a poi..poi is a graceful movement towards our maori custom and here u making a hula to it....

DISGRACEFUL...what the hell were you guys thinking

  • Yup, they think its so cool to " fuse cultures and make something new". This is because none of these cultures are their own. So jacking it up doesnt bother them. They dont understand thats sickening to us who are proud of our heritage & culture, to see it basterdized like this. If you are going to do somebody elses culture you should show respect by doing it right especially if you claim to love it so much. People who dont hold the traditional spirit in their heart wont understand that.

  • A-fucking greed!

Hula and poi are not meant to be preformed togehter!

  • Beautiful girls spinning poi, i love it :3

  • hahaha, why are they using electronic beats in their traditional/folk music ? i would prefer their real folk music with traditional poi tricks

  • If Itz A Fire Poi

Theyy Kuld At Least Set It On Fire!!!

  • 0MG!!! THiS iS RiDiCUL0US!!! PLEASE ST0P TRYiN 2 MAKE UP YER 0WN KiND 0F DANCiN!!! i DNT EVEN THiNK THAT MUSiC iS MA0Ri MUSiC!! iF YER G0NNA DANCE AN0THER CULTURE PLS KEEP iT TRADiTiONAL!

  • they have kept it traditional - they arent trying to be maori thats their own traditional poi!

  • there is no "their own" traditional poi! there's only one and that's da true maori dance...so fired!

  • samoan people used the fire poi, thats traditional to them and thats a traditional poi

  • Ummm, yeah Samoans don't do poi. They only perform the fire knife "siva afi".

  • well, let me tell you something, you look to hawaii, they have poi, you look to samoa they have poi, come back to us, we have poi!

  • beautiful. I love the music. know where i can get it?

  • LOL. I thought it sounded familiar. Its Paradisia by Fenua. I have the CD. LOL

  • I think its cool...and evolution in traditional. Its an acknowledgment to each of the cultures you merge of your respect and love for them. Why should we limit ourselves into one style if you love many? Why not fuse them and create something new, something different and express them all with love. Rock on I say!

  • nice, traditional, but none of the moves performed are really hard, should put in some BTB weaves and BTB Butterflys. Hardest trick i saw was one handed butterfly.

  • What is the BTB weave and BTB butterfly?

  • check my video of "me nailing behind the back weave"

  • Hey i thing its really good put different at the same time....

  • I have never seen the poi perform like that before?... with the hula n tahitan music???

  • Our family dance company fuses different Polynesian styles of dance and music together. Do you like it?

  • no..its a big mix of nothing in particular...and says nothing...traditional music is purposeful and is done in a certain way for a certain reason..this is a mix match and the result is what?

  • Hahaha. Wow. Calm down, bitter one. The question wasn't even directed towards you.

  • amen!!!!!

  • the result is simply a fusion of Polynesian cultures expressing each individual style in one kanikani to enrich and honour each Polynesian peoples.

  • @maorisoulman a agree, i don't see why there is so much anger towards this video. I think they did well considering it's only a FUSION as maorisoulman says, it is merely to honour each polynesian people.
