  • Racism is when you group people together, period. So, if people are on here looking at this video and complaining that their are only "white looking" individuals, they are in fact helping racism to continue to exist.

  • Because it only features white people that means it's racist? My opinion, MY OPINION is that no, this commercial isn't racist. People are just looking for things to label racist. And if I get any comments about this, obviously you can't respect opinions...

  • I live in the Lakes at Tradition. There are plenty of people of color in our community.

Get a life ultranate33322. Do something better with your time or is this all you can handle with your pea-sized brain.

  • who needs violent brainless niggers for neighbors.free choice is a american choice not a african choice.go to your home country and take a machete with you you will need it.

  • Well they are aiming it towards old rich people, who tend to be white and rather racist.

  • THERE IS NO RACISM HERE?? HA! Count the confederate flags on sale at the St. Lucie County Fair, and then tell me that there's no racism here! If you can't see how this ad is geared towards that certain population of whites who would find a neighborhood less "desirable" if blacks moved in next door, well... then you've probably lived in Florida your entire life. I'm white, but this kind of shit is exactly why I'm moving out of PSL next month, after having lived here for only a year and a half.

  • @FoundAvenue Thank-you. For leaving.

  • This is a joke, right?

Port St. Lucie is one of the LEAST structurally segregated cities in South Florida. You'll also notice that "My kind of people" is followed by, "people who smile..."

This is some seriously weak analysis on your part. Sheesh.

  • Weak analysis? 50 out of the 50 people in the commercial are white. If Port Saint Lucie was one of the "least structurally segregated cities", then that just proves my point that the commercial is racist. If the city is so diverse they why wouldn't this housing community choose to feature a diverse population on it's commercial?

  • There is no racism here. Ultranate33322 is just a stupid politically correct liberal. Actually, I have been in Tradition, and white people are not the only ones who live there. Hell, the McDonalds in Tradition is employeed with Latinos.

  • Yeah my pointing out subtle racism is so liberal, at least it would be from the viewpoint of a 1950's Klan member in Alabama. By the way sorry all the "latinos" stole the good jobs there.

  • Um, I'm only 19, so I couldn't have existed in the 1950's. I am not a Klan member. I do not live in Alabama. I am white, and I used to work at that McDonald's before my friend got me a job at Little Cesear's. I never said that the latinos stole the good jobs.

  • It's called sarcasm. Then again someone who is employeed (sic) at Little Cesear's (sic) might have not figured that out.

  • @ultranate33322 I just came back from psl and you are an assholoe

  • This place is a ghost town. Foreclosure City

  • tradition sucks. looks like disney world. port st lucie is ruining st lucie county.

  • and how is this racist??

just because there is no black people in the commercial means its racist.

  • The lyrics of the song "my kind of people" playing in the background while featuring over 50 people *none* of which are not white. Also considering the State of Florida has a large immigrant population consisting of people from the Caribbean and Latin America who generally don't look as white as Elmer's glue.

  • @ultranate33322 , you must have a really big problem with the Hollywood Film Industry then

  • I hate Tradition. My family has been living in PSL since the 1970s and all these stupid gated communities are ruining it. I laugh that these high priced homes are sitting on our friend's old cow fields, lol. Cow shit ftw.

  • hahah lets argue about a commercial for tradition and write long paragraph comments hahah you guys have to much time on your hands

  • I hate Tradition.

In fact, I hate all these master planned communities that try to throw up a facade of small town America. Get rid of the fucking cobblestone on the streets, you morons

  • So why dont you send in Fat Al Sharpton if you dont like it.

  • i live in psl, tradition is for the rich fucks

  • um yeahh. wat the heck. i live in port st lucie and for ya information this comercial isnt even for Port st lucie. its advertising tradition, a gated community. so dont talk bout psl.

  • well miss sunshine, if you live in psl, then you should KNOW tradition is in fact IN the city of port st. lucie. speaking about stuff you do not know about just makes you look ignorant...

  • im not ignorant. i know tradition is in psl. but u cant make all psl look bad becuase of one thing in psl. its your opinion that this commericial comes off racist but the commerical speaks for tradition, not all of port st lucie

  • dont you people realize that were ALL here.... white ,black whatever...... i live in psl, no matter how you look at for a few more months its still better than broward or the bronx...

  • i lived in port saint lucie a long time ago and from what i heard its really bad there now

  • LOL - really, what have you heard? "Bad" in what way? Not sure what you are referring to. This place is bland as cottage cheese. If anything interesting is going on, please let me know. Until we start having drive by shootings or rampant gang activity like our neighbors to the south (*ahem* pbcounty broward, etc...), then come back and tell us how 'bad' it is here.

  • PG57039

I was told by a few friends that still live there and they said there was gangs in the schools now etc back wheni lived there there wasnt anything like that there.

  • TTTT

  • BULL****!!! WTH is with all this got-dang politically correctness in America??? Who cares if a commercial happens to only show "white" people? Does it really matter? I live in PSL, and I don't remember ANY laws forbidding folks of any color to live here.

My friend (originally from NY) lives in Tradition. Yes, he is "white", but when I stop by his house, I have noticed "Blacks" living in there as well.

  • I live in Port St. Lucie and I think that it's a little too racially mixed. I feel uncomfortable driving my car down my street at night.

  • Any closed minded individual with little or no exposure to other cultures would feel that way. You really should get out more....

  • I have more exposure to other cultures than most and I have to say this third world diversity really sucks. I live in PSL now, but lived in "diverse" New Haven CT for 2 years, this place will catch up to the CT toilet bowl real soon. My home state of Maine is a third world Somali state thanks to diversity, the third world is everywhere and there is no safe place anymore.

  • I doubt that you do. You sound just as ignorant as NotJustAnotherRougue. Let's not make this a battle of 'i've been exposed to more cultures than anyone...' because I would definitely win that contest. Not only have I lived in NYC but I've lived in other states/countries as well.

  • To just say that minorities and diversity is to blame when it comes to the perceived 'decline' of PSL, thats just an example of your ignorance. Minorities (in small numbers or not) have been in PSL since the 80's. Infact, many of the transplants from upnorth included minorities who moved in and OWNED their own homes. The problem that arises is more economic than simply racial.

  • Once PSL had the grand idea to put up 'low income' and section 8 housing, thats when crime began to increase. And if you want to review some stats (in psl)- more WHITE people occupy those dwellings than blacks.

  • Oh socialist one I do think you think a bit too highly of yourself. Hispanic populations bring ultra violent paramilitary factions such as MS 13 as well as a large number of street gangs. Black communities are well known for violence, and PSL gets more and more of them. You are failing to see the forrest because you focus on a few trees.

  • I grew up in a Maine rural community well below the poverty line. We had no crime. You claiming that economics alone explains crime rates is is absurd as many poor people live in safe communities. The Somalis brought a huge crime rate with them, I do hate them for this. New Haven was another example of black crime through the roof. Being poor is NOT a good excuse for rape and murder. I have white friends from all over the world and most didnt exactly grow up rich.

  • Interesting that you can speak out of both sides of your mouth and yet remain ignorant to your own hipocracy. You're saying that hispanic populations bring 'ultra violent paramilitary factions' and that the black community is 'WELL KNOWN' for violence. Then when I bring in a more logical economic explanation- you get offended over that!

  • I can tell that you are not an educated individual. You spend hours reading conspiracy garbage and you believe in the oppression of the 'white man'. You fear illegal immigrants because they will take your job, rape your women and raise your taxes. I feel sorry for you because you are so misguided. But I will allow you to have the last word. This should be interesting...

  • My particular field pays very high, hispanics arent too common so far. I have a college education as well. Your globalist agenda does allow for cheap labor which often dispalces the working class, Im glad you admit this. Why do you think murder and rape to be something to be ignored? I pay high taxes as well, yet my government makes no attempt whatsoever to represent me or my best interests.

  • Where is the hypocracy? Can you explain why impoverished white populations tend to be less violent than "minority" populations of similar economic background? Do you think MS 13 to be peace activists? Leave your gated community or your country club long enough to have a good look at the real world the rest of us live in before stating an opinion please.

  • i think for someone to think something or someone is racist must be racist themselves.

this is the 2000's, there are more mixed relationships here in florida than anywhere else. you can't base your belief on a single commercial...can you?

  • I can't believe I use to live here

  • Traditions is filled with too many old, new yorker snobs. I swear I sat in front of the Bagel Brothers place and tried to say "hi" to everyone that walked in and they all gave me the dirtiest look.

  • Holy shit I hate living in Tradition man. I can't wait till we move.

  • gosh. i hate this place. i soo wanna live somewhere else...

  • I moved out last year, sold my house to a nice black couple, believe me Port St. Lucie is no longer a "White Town" thats why I left.

  • Classy. Just classy.

  • Most of the blacks and minorities in PSL are also from upnorth (New York, Jersey, etc). Or they are from the islands. Those are the ones living better than the white floridians. That's the interesting thing about the demographics in PSL. That's a fact. That does NOT include the recent transplants from Ft. Pierce.

  • you go take your happy as to the wall mart down the street and you will see white black Latinos Asians and what ever else is in the united states

  • Tradition is a damn nice area. Besides if you really wanted to know, blacks only make up less than 15 percent of the entire US population. So its actually alot weirder to see minorites in every commercial on TV. It all depends on the actual part of the US you live in.

  • So what if they are White? Those are the residents that particular retirement community, not the entire town of Port St. Lucie! Tell you what - why don't you do something about diversity and move into a majority Black, Latin, or Asian community, especially an impoverished area? Or maybe even a White poverty area?

But I won't hold my breath.

    YAWN.

  • Tradition is not a 'town'. It's a community thought up by a bunch of developers. If you're comfortable (or foolish) enough to put money into a sinking area, then there's the place. About 80% of PSL can barely afford their taxes, let alone mortgages and the real estate market continues to get worse. You have to have these type of commercials to lure people in- that's the beauty of advertising.

  • I knew it, i live all the way down in delray beach and i always though of PSL as some christian white hick town.

  • well u thought wrong its a mixed community thats a lil gated community so try and not to be racists next .... dick

  • psl is not racist i live there and i am black. there are plenty blacks and hispanics there. It is a mixed town. That is just a community named Tradition in Port St. Lucie

  • um excuse me, i don`t know what the hell you`re talkin` about

port saint lucie is not a racist city.

& we do have more than 70,000.

they ain`t just red-necks here stupid tricks.

    there`s black, spanish, italian,polish..hm?

    need me name more?

get it straight dumb `lil jit.

  • Live here! Too damn crowded!!

  • Actually they should of Skittzo....Show a little more diversity....Not one Asian, Latin or African American in town?

  • Actually in that part of town there are very very few minorities... and those are actually residents of the town.... I don't think it was intentional.

  • That's not a big deal. They used residents in a commercial to promote their community. Should they have went out of their way to find a black, brown, yellow & red person as well?!?

  • Ya...I stayed in PSL, like in the early and mid 90s while I was young, and the population was only like 70,000...Anywho, THAT TOWN SUCKS!!! 95% white, lots of rednecks...best thing I ever did in my life was move out of that hoe ass town

  • 70,000? it's doubled or something. and the diversity has changed; definitely not as many rednecks. it's still a suck town, though, but it's getting better.

  • you guys gonna cry about it?

  • haha..I wondered about the commercial myself..:)
