@warismyfuture do some research before you speak. F117 shot down by soviet and its "stealth" f-22 too expensive to maintain and run. f-18 you are mad....Su-37s or 35 can knock them off the sky. F-18 no thrust vector and mostly a mini bomber.
The FA-18 owns anything in the sky to date without even a little troubal. Throw some F22 raptors and some 117Nighthawks and theres not a chance in hell for any country.

@AllofStewie I don't get it. Because the Mig-29's over Kosovo were shot down by long range missiles it doesn't count? In your opinion it wasn't a classic "dogfight?" There were plenty of examples of dogfights in Iraq, and still no Mig 29 kills. I know the Russian pilots are tough but that did not stop them from getting shot down by Israeli pilots during the "War of Attrition." It could be the Mig 29 suffers from lack of fly by wire capability.

Russian pilots in War of Attrition???!!! umm.. pardon me?!?!?! Also i know Su-27SK shut down 3 mig-29 during Eritrean–Ethiopian War and one mig29 was hit by F-15C with aim-7m (Gulf war, Jan17 1991). Now THAT was the dogfight, where us pilots were waaay better then iraqis =)

A very hollywood style dogfight in which the enemy has you boresight all time but never fires and in the las seccondthe heore makes an awesome menuever and shoots down the bad in some secconds. LOL Would be great to know the real results of the actual excersises.

@FMorris308 Swedish don have F-18, the only european conutries with F-18 are Spain and Switzterland. Sweden produces their own fighter aircrafts, the Saab ones. Yoc can see the swiss airforce emblem painted on the hornet.
