there is an AT project that has been going on for like 3-4 years now and they've got 100 of designs for AT's. Their first prototype at will only have a speed of between 15-25mph, and the cost to purchase one would probably over $350.
ATs would be awesome if it was only real, and yes accidents would go sky rocket, but it cant be avoided...cuz, for every awesome thing that/that will exist in this world.. there would be an equivalent pay or suffering i should say, for the awesome or great thing, i think thats how this SUCKYASS real life works ( no one can live in a happy life if no one is suffering )

It's actually possible it's just damn expensive and very unlikely to be built.
Im not into any kind of sport but if this WAS real you can bet your ass this would become my hobby and every broken bone and scrape that comes with it.
Not to mention, the fact that over half the tricks performed in the manga/anime would be completely impossible to pull off. Ya know, thanks to physics and human limitations. Sucks, don't it?

@cww1988 We've already got really small motors but they're still big, somebody made motorized rollerblades but nowhere near what to expect from AT, however we'll get there...someday.
