  • We've still not been on the moon.

  • What is the name of the Theme Music at the start of the program?

  • Lol, 30 something million dollars seems a bit steep to be honest :P I'd be surprised if it was road legal, yet again he was using it on the road.

  • also why if there is no gravity or air on the moon why does the dust kicked up by the wheels fall back down ps who gives a hoot it made for great tv

  • There is gravity on the moon.

  • lol

  • @rhino616 There is gravity you noob, just not much, gravity is relative to size(created by mass)

  • TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE, TRIFLEDORK!!

  • yeah, but the people you aim that very childish insult at will more than likely earn more money than you

    =)

    A.W x

  • My husband and I really loved this one, because we're huge space fans.

  • "Theres no air...except the bit that blew the flag about." That was perfect!

  • yoghurt is top-notch fodda - especially fond of the nutty one!

  • bollocks, the americans didn't even realy land on the moon, it was staged(not very well ) in hollywood.

  • Nice to see James May doing what he loves, and not being compared to his guitar-playing brother from Queen, Brian May... oops, I mean... oh, forget it

  • ooh. stil back in 60 s battery powered cars would have had a range of about 3feet befor ethey needed charging

  • ummm. 1 question. how did the buggy stay on the moon with no atmosphere. unless it was a sound stage.....

  • because atmosphere doesn't mean you stick to the ground, that's gravity. I think you need to read a basic science book.

  • ooops didnt mean to spam this post. anywho i was an A* student in science at school. and i meant how would the engine run cos every internal combustion engine needs oxygen from the ATMOSPHERE!! to run

  • The real moon buggy was electric.

  • a serious look there from mr may as he casually mentions a major conspiracy theory....as there is no atmosphere on the moon, there was nothing to absorbe the excess energy generated when the astronaughts rammed the flag into the ground. This caused the flag to move for a while afterwards as if it was flapping in the wind.

  • Give him a better theme tune than that

  • This guy is nearly as annoying than Jeremy Clarkson

  • James May has loadsa money (enough 2 buy a lambo)am he buys a blummin FIAT PANDA!! the vids pretty kl though, when is it on??

  • "Tuesday 8:30pm BBC Two/Open University

    James May, from Top Gear"

  • it's simple - he brought the Panda because it's a perfect car to use everyday, supercar aren;t exactly useful and comfortable everyday and i have to agree with him.

  • lol a panda is far from perfect lmao

my idea of perfection (for day to day) is more like bently/jag instead of a fait! lol

heck i would put up with a £30000 merc if i had to

    (i cant aford one tho =( )

  • he isnt as rich as everyone believes. hes only dun bout 2/3 years of TV he started in TG series 2 which aired in 2003

  • when is this show on!?!?

  • LMAO THE BIT THAT BLEW THE FLAG

  • james may is god

  • i can help you understand it more, come to a house party round our way james hahahaha

  • I too am a yogurt fan!

  • Priceless line, "After three trips to the moon, the Americans were so annoyed with having to walk everywhere, they brought a car." I like the Jimmy Carr expression he got when he talked about the flag falling over. Very cute.

  • I agree. Yogurt is great.

  • Not sure if they (America) went to the moon or not? It would,nt suprise me if they filmed the whole thing in a warehouse though!

That was quite interesting. I like James May, think hes quite funny in a very English kind of way.

    JP

  • I see it was directed by Paul King, I`m a big fan of his, especially the doc martins & tarten suits.

  • Clarkie, you can't spell. It's tartan. Do you like my hair too? Now go back to your hole.

  • I think they did go to the moon and filmed it on the moon, anyone agree/disagree?

  • it would be a lot harder to fake than actually to do it, it would be impossible to fake moon rocks because of their composition which is unlike anything on earth. The flag rippled because they had to twist it to get it into the hard ground, whilst on earth it would have stopped after a second or so, on the moon it carried on because of the lack of atmosphere.

  • course they never went to the moon.

  • im no physics expert but if a flag was pushed into the ground in a vacum (space for example or the surface of the moon) im sure it wouldent wave like thers air flowing through it.. if you move a flag on a stick in a vacum it dos not wave

  • Many people think space is a complete vacuum, but there is matter in space, which is very likely to be the cause of the movement, along with the gravity plus initial vibrations gained by the flag+Flagpole which will of disipated into the ground rather than "air" so it will move asif it's surrounded by air. Simply physics... honest :p

  • jelous cus i know more than you do?

  • i love yoghurt
