  • great tutorial man :)

check my page for tutorials and FREE PROJECT FILES for download

  • cool vid peace

  • @menaceeffectz hey i was wonderin in reason5 do you have to use a MIDI keyboard only in reason? or you can use pattern style loops like FLS and just make a beat in the sequencer like FLS with their instrument kits? if reason required a midi only then i need to get a keyboard to use it for R5?

  • @SLYFOX944 No you dont have to have a midi controller although it is much easier in reason with a midi controller... it has a window for keypad controls just like fl studio or garageband for musical typing should be under windows... but like i said if you are working in reason it would do you some good to get some sort of midi controller later to speed up workflow

  • Is there anyway to use Kong without drumpads? Nice beat you made, Im digging the bass line

  • @HDiGITTY You can use it with any midi controller doesnt have to have pads

  • You have a Droid

  • Hey guys, I downloaded reason 5, a couple of days ago, everything was going perfect at the start, but when I turned on reason 5 today, I was gona record with my mpd24, I could hear what I was playing live, when I hit the buttons, and recorded, but the problem is that I can't hear what I recorded, when I listen to it after I recorded. The kong drum, I can hear, but not the other instruments, bass, guitar, piano, you name it. Is there something I can do?? Because I really wanna make beats.

  • hey, what are the keyboard shortcuts for each pad?

  • I'm thinking about getting a MPD24 but idk what software to get with it. I have a PC, what would u recommend?

  • "Yo, whassap yootoob?"

  • worst tutorial so far

  • Thank you very much for your response. That's so kind of you.

  • dope bet bro rea;lly liked it

  • Thanks man. Good tutorial. I like that beat at the end. Sounds like somethin red and meth would jump on

  • Hello there! I have Reason 5 and I have a doubt. When I select an instrument(Strings)and draw it on the piano roll, then the tone of the note sounds perfect (If it's a four bar note then it lasts four bars). When I play it on the MIDI keyboard it sounds the same. But when I record it with the MIDI keyboard and play it back then only a tap sound of that recorded tone which lasts for half a second is heard. How do I make the tone sound four bars? Could you please guide me on it.

  • @creativityhails I've found that when playing with MIDI, whilst recording it shorts out the notes.

Quantize the notes and you should see a series of overlapping notes.

Imagine you play a 4/4 bar long C#. Once quantized, there will sometimes be a single overlapping note that lasts for a 1/32 of a 4/4 bar.

Just delete the overlapping single note and it should play all the way through.

If I've confused you, I'm sorry.

  • @menaceeffectZ how much does reason 5 cost? and is it better then FL studio?

  • @mCHUBZ845 COST?!?!? hahahahaha!!

  • @freakwincy ummmm yea lol...it cost???

  • @mCHUBZ845 you're funny!! hahahahahahahah

  • @freakwincy so your not gonna tell me? :(

  • @mCHUBZ845 If you get Reason/Record about 199~299 depends where you get it. You could download Reason 4 off a torrent. Reason is self contained which means no plug-ins though there is refills people make. It's all preference, the program usually doesn't change much slightly different sound qualities between Reason and FL but it's all on the person.

  • @JayEis1337 thanks bro

  • How do you wire each pad to their own track in a mixer to separate the track into layers?

  • do you only get 14 tracks to play in reason? can you make more?

  • @MILLSPRO123 nah man i believe you can get up to 64 or maybe even more but all you have to do is just add another mixer to one channel of the mixer and you will have a whole new set of channels on the next mixer and it will link up to your project seemlessly

  • @MenaceeffectZ hey dude, i was wondering.....i noticed you pressed the pads without using a mouse to click individually, isnt there a gadget for that ? thanks in advance :)

  • @MILLSPRO123 you can make as many mixers as needed. plus, you dont necessarily need a mixer channel for each track. you can use a combinator to combine insturments as well. reason is PIMP.

  • @MILLSPRO123 You can make tracks till your comp crashes.

  • thx man this was really helpful

  • good stuff

  • Camera... I really wish you could use a tripod

  • @munch340 MPK 49

  • Comment removed

  • its kong not korg

  • @thebadsuits Yeh i know this... if you even watched the video i corrected the fact that i said korg twice and even in the video description i corrected so its all good...funny how people always want to call someone out without reading or finishing anything lol

  • hey dude, much difference between reason 4 & 5? is it worth the upgrade??

  • @gavinjamesaitken1 Its really all about preference. I would reccommend it, you can get the same thing acheived in both programs its just that reason 5 simplifies things and sppeds up work flow which is something all producers love lol...
