  • You know, if they remade this movie for today's audiences, it'd probably be something like this: "Ok, who brought the muthfuckin' dog, 'n' shit"

  • I loved many artists of the 80's (Madonna, Bryan Adams, Whitney Houston, Belinda Carlisle, Sandra, George Michael, Bonnie Tyler, Tina Turner, Samantha Fox, Sade etc) but Laura Branigan was special with her unique and so powerful vocal, deep lyrics and very emotional performance. 'Hot Night' is fantastic soundtrack song.

I adore and miss her so much!!!

  • @irina1296

If you enjoy females with energy, check out Headpins, Girlschool, Lee Aaron, and Pat Benatar.

  • God I miss the 80s....

  • @Latias82 Me 2!!

  • @Latias82 yes, I miss the awesome sound of the 80s...nothing beats the soul of it. Besides Trance music, nothing else comes close to the nostalgia that is the 80s sense of music

  • @Latias82

Even those who weren't even born back then "miss it". (More like a "wish I was born 10 years earlier")

  • Laura is the greatest singer ever. Thanks for posting this song, it brings back some wonderful memories of when Laura was still with us. I miss her so much!!!

  • laura graduated from my high school! there's a memorial scholarship named for her.

and yeah, what is that song that is playing when Ray and Winston finish talking about Judgement Day?

  • I didn't go to the high school myself, but Matthew McConaughey graduated from one in my town.

  • ive been looking for that song for a while come on youtube someones gotta know!!!!

  • holy crap i found it its called "Judgement Day" and its off of the score and is not on the orginal soundtrack

  • hey wait a min!!! what's the song that was briefly playing when Ray and Winston were driving on the bridge at night?!

  • Thats not even on the soundtrack!!!

  • i know and it sucks. that tune was smooth and groovy :(

  • The song play when Danna do some exercice...Watch the MOVIE DAMN IT ...I'm just kidding

  • Actually I think it's played when Luis offers Dana to the party (before both of them become possessed by Zuul and Vinz).

  • Louis Tully's party! Dana is sneaking down the hall, and Louis can hear her over the music in his apartment. Ha ha.

Am I the only one around here who has the original Ghostbusters vinyl LP from 1984? I was only 7 but I begged my grandma to buy it for me. LOL.

  • lmao that always got me. how in the hell did he know she was comming?! and whats funny is that she had to deal with 2 pain in the asses in both GB movies: Louis Tully in the first one and Yanosh Poha (art museum) in GB2

  • Louis Tully must've had some sort of extra sensory perception thing going on, lol.

Oh that Janosh dude was creepy as hell. Funny seeing the actor being normal years later in Alley McBeal!

  • No, I have it on vinyl too :-)

  • @angiecrock You still have the vinyl LP!? That must be worth a fortune now! :) Take my advice: Keep it and don't sell it. It's going to be a collector's item one day.

  • =DD

  • I've been a Ghostbusters fan since the first film...I'm crazy about everything Ghostbusters!!!

I have the Soundtrack on CD, and this is one of the best on it.

    R.I.P. Laura Branigan.

  • @wesnffc4eva I actually saw Ghostbusters in the theater when it came out. Man, we howled with laughter and couldn't stop talking about the movie afterwords. Definitely a major part of great eighties cinema!

  • @cheapcape It should have been re-released in 2009 for its 25th anniversary. Maybe they'll re-release it in 2014 for its 30th :)

  • @SPeacock Great idea. This song deserves a digital remaster.

  • @cheapcape And the movie, too - it deserves a theatrical re-release. :)

  • @SPeacock I'd be first in line!

  • Haha amazing! I love this soundtrack is like screams bad 80's :P i have the Old 1984 cassette in my car at all times :D it rules

  • yeah great tune, sounds good at double speed with some drum and bass

  • yea, this song is so hot. I have the soundtrack on vinyl, along with Johnny cash live at folsom prison

  • "Ok, who brought the dog?"

  • Brilliant Ghostbuster's song that brings back memories and is a great dancing song!!

  • glad I searched for this song, I have the Ghostbusters soundtrack, on a worn out cassette. good to hear it without the sound going in and out.

  • A perfect song for Laura´s voice, it´s full of energy.

  • @Paulosoy Laura was definitely a legend! RIP

  • This is one HOT song by Laura!

A dumb question, is this song actually in the dvd of the movie, I watched for it, but didn't hear it in the movie (unfortunately).

A great song & movie. Lets Bust some Ghosts!

    We Love You Laura.

  • It's only in a few seconds of the movie. it's when Louis is having his party. You can hear the song playing on the radio in the background.
