@TheDustWolf It's for X3 Reunion, but the same team is working on a new Xtended for Terran Conflict. Notably, they'll be bringing back M0 battleships and also adding a lot of non-ship content this time around (since most of the Xtended ships are already in Terran Conflict anyways).

Hopefully they'll also change a few of the ship models or add "prototype" versions, since some ships look absolutely terrible compared to their Xtended counterparts, like the Argon Eclipse (it's a slug) and valhalla

With the content that EVE holds and X3 holds the comparison between these two games in MP aspect would be pure carnage. EVE is way more better in all things when you're speaking of multiplayer but it would'n work nearly as well as X3 does in SP. And vice versa, X3 wouldn't be a blockbuster MP but it's a blockbuster in SP.

admittedly the storyline isn't executed very well in the game, but the idea of the storyline is very well done, you should read farnham's legend, the book the game was based on, or was it the other way round. Its like the metal gear series, good ideas and epic story, bad game play and a severe lack of the game part, MGS4 illustrates that perfectly, whereas X3 just doesn't have enough cutscences or a even a tutorial

Recent patches have taken the processing load off of this game a fair bit.

However you should realy invest in one of the 8800 line cards, there really is no comparison between those cards and any of the older series, with a 3Ghz processor and an 8800 Ultra the game runs smooth no matter how much you throw at it.

It is worth it, but use the x3-x3 converter to merge your savefile with your xtended one.
