I like the way they have the dictionary in K2. The Whispersync is cool too. I also think the text to speech would be cool for people with poor eyesight. I LOVE that you can download the previously downloaded books on the new Kindle for free :)

@raskarl LOL I actually like the "ugly" shape of the older one :) I like the wedge shape because I like how it feels when I am holding it to read. I think the K2 looks cool too though but I am waiting a while to upgrade. Maybe when K3 comes out. :) I love my K1 and it will always be special to me even if I do upgrade.

The Kindle 1 got it right the first time - no need to go to K2 and avoid the NOOK1

My comparison K1 vs K2 showed better ink display for K1.

Mathew, from ZD Net,at 6:04ish you say "we've got our micro SD slot" That is NOT an SD slot. There is no slot for any user-added memory on the Kindle 2. Then you go on to day it's a micro USB jack. Your error is, unfortunately, par for our world these days. I will avoid ZDNet even more in the future.

I understand what you are saying. No, he doesn't correct himself. He merely calls the hole on the bottom both a mini-USB and an SD slot. I hope you feel good giving him the benefit of the doubt. You probably feel better than the guy I spoke to last night who insisted there was an SD slot and he "saw it on the net" and was happy as a clam with his. Again, there is no card memory. 2GB is NOT enough. You can't replace the battery easily. They should have kept the rubber backing.
