I'm sorry - but to put a notebook that has severe heat issues (don't get me wrong - i have the 15") into a plastic case when the aluminum is especially used to give off head over a bigger surface is just not verry smart. Besides that - did you know that the keyboard you covered up so nicely is actually the way fresh air is supposed to enter your notebook for cooling?
This is not meant to be offensive in any way but to cover up anything on a MBP / Air is the worst thing you can do to the hardware
@MrBharajamrit actually the protector barely moves at all, even when I'm typing. since it's a laptop, you just close the lid and you won't really have any issues.
Palmguard shizzle for hand rest thing and for your trackpad? for what? its aluminum and glass... you can clean it with a damped cloth and save a lot of money ;) i got my macbook pro for like... 1,5 years now and the only thing what happened to mine is a mini-dent on a corner because i putted my backpack down to hard at school... xD but thats something even your nice matt purple plastic cover can't avoid :P

@muh1h1 actually the computer was a gift, so I found it more than right to keep an expensive gift protected. This "overpriced" computer will last me for years. The price paid for this computer is what ppl pay for multiple PC's every few years, since IMO they always have issues.

@longisland216 With those kinds of cases you arent protecting it in anyway, all you are doing is blocking the vents which makes your laptop hotter than it already was.
High amount of heat reduces the life of a processor.
Besides, the MBP has good build quality so i dont get it why anyone would need a skin/laminate whatever you call it anyways

only thing is the one i got was a lil long so the clips from the bottom case got in the way so i clipped a lil space on the palm guard so it layed flat with a nail clipper
@jst4tim thx! I can only get one side to lock in, but when that happens it lifts up the PalmGuard. So I decided to just leave it "unlocked" on both sides.
@randomrazr imo I think it's worth it, but it all depends if you're worried about dinging the palm rest or it wasting away due to excessive use. I accidentally chipped my palm rest, so to prevent any more chips or scratches I decided to buy the palmguard. hope this helped!
