This song reminds me of my grandma. She passed away in August and this is our first christmas without her. Christmas was her favorite time of the year, as it is mine. She sang in a choir for 60+ years and music was our life. I can hear her sing this to me. I miss her so much. It just won't be the same. Love you so much Gma Mary!!! Merry Christmas!

@abbeyalbright Good luck dealing with that, my Grandma died almost 10 years ago, Christmas was her favorite time of the year too and to me it feels like Christmas has died with her... I don't think I'll ever get over it. Merry Christmas may God bless us all.

@abbeyalbright I know how you feel. My grandmother passed away this Christmas Eve. Her last words were "Silent Night" and this song was perfect. I'm still hurting from the pain, but I know that she's gotten her greatest gift of all, her wings. And I know your grandma has as well. Merry Christmas and stay strong.

Song also has meaning for me as I remember when I was 7 years old and my father passsed away shortly before Christmas...it brings tears to my eyes whenever I think about it in tandem and focus now on my little boy who is 8 years old. Christmas is difficult for me, but my kids are helping move away from those years. Thank you Mannheim Steamroller for all you create.

It's not just the piano work. The entire arrangement and performance are flawless. The part that always gets me is the toy piano at the end, reminding us all to approach the Christmas season with the heart of a child. My favorite Christmas music EVER!

the piano work in this song is just absolutely breathtaking.  Every time I listen to this song I close my eyes and all I think about is flying. Not in a spiritual sense but a sense peace like no other. It not only speaks to the heart but it speaks to the soul as well.
